As the title says, what kind of ram should I get, as per timings/clock speed
My specs are:
P7P55D Deluxe (Dual-Channel DDR3 2200(O.C.) / 1600 / 1333 / 1066 support)

well here is my recommendation its 2133mhz ram with decent timing for a good price and it fits under most heatsinks http://www.newegg.com/Pro...ords%29#scrollFullInfo

There are no real-world in-game gains from higher frequency-- unless you want faster level loading, or speeding up program loads and install times.  Although that review does show that RAM timings can compensate for frequency, so purchase wisely and logically.

For Intel processors, 0.122 x TDP = Continuous Amps at 12v [source].

Remember, the IMC default speed is 1066, so most likely there is little to no support above that.  That being said, I have never seen a properly functioning chip that wouldn't do 1333, and most do 1600.  1600 seems to be the sweet spot, I saw launch speed improvements and some improvements in memory heavy applications up to about 1600, I tried going past that, and I really didn't see much outside of change outside of that except on certain benchmarks.  1333-1600 with  low latency 8-8-8-24 or better and I think you will perform well.
