My 9800gx2 starting posting a 7f error to my mobo and I couldnt get anything to eppear on the screen. I took the gx2 to a shop and they verified that it was definately fried. I bought a gtx570 and was expecting everything to startup fine but once i got everything hooked up It gave me the same error code. I tried with just 1 stick of ram and still nothing. Im stuck now should i just order a new psu and hope its that or take everything into the shop and have them do it for me

Try another PCIe slot, if you still get 7F you may want to try another PSU.

You might want  to post all your system specs... maybe someone will have a similar setup and have some pertinent info to share to help you.

Might wanna take the GTX 570 to the shop and have them take 10 minutes just to verify that it's good, could be DOA..They should be able to quickly test your PSU too, they probably have a PSU tester something like this..If you wanna test it yourself you need to disconnect it from everything and jumper the PS_ON# terminal to any COM terminal to turn it on and check the pinout voltages  and grounds (COM) with a DVOM.
