I just built a brand new gaming build with the ASROCK Z77 Extreme 4 (with intel i5-2500k)  It boots up fine when the GPU is not inserted.  When I install the EVGA GTX 660ti Signature 2 FTW into the PCIe (x16) slot I get error code d6 and 5 beeps -no console output.  I tried it in the second PCIe slot and got the same thing.

Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

I have this same problem with a GTX465 on the X79 FTW.
Seems this D6 Error Code is an issue not yet figured out.
Strange because the card works in my other systems, but not this one, and I am using an OLD Radeon Card that somehow works!?

I wish I knew the answer to this, I plan on getting a GTX680 and I hope to know I won't have issues with it and this board.

Hmmm, I have the same problem with getting D6. I'm using it fine without the GPU, but c'mon, I really don't want my $300 graphics card to just rot in it's packaging. Here's my specs.

    AsRock Extreme6 Z77
    Intel i5-3570k 3.4Ghz
    Corsair Vengeance 4GB 1600Mhz x2
    EVGA GeForce GTX 660 TI FTW+ 3GB

This error is most often seen when the card is not seated correctly in the slot
    -or-
Failure to properly attach all the required and correctly volted power leads to the videocard
-and- have the monitor connected to the DVI port on the videocard

*both 6pin connections are the card must be used
(note the deeper one can be hard to seat correctly with some PSU leads)

Reseat the card and double check the connections, both at card itself and (if your PSU is modular) at the PSU end as well
Just what PSU make/model/wattage are you using?
