Hi,

I have recently just purchased a new PC with an EVGA GTX680 SC Signature. The rest of the specification is as follow:

Intel 3570k @ 4.6Ghz
MSI Z77 GD65
Kingston HyperX Predator 16GB @ 1866Mhz
Corsair AX860
Software: Precision X and Heaven 4.0

I have the problem that the power usage is stuck at around 80-90%:

- Even when I set the power target to 130%;
- No matter how high I set the GPU clock offset to;
- If I increase the voltage slider to maximum (Kepler auto boosts the voltage to 1.175V anyways).

I know for a fact my GPU is not throttling, I have set up a constant fan curve of 75%. I did not touch memory offset, so my memory clock is at default.

As a result I think, I only get about 13-26mhz of Kepler Boost. The EVGA SC Signature comes factory overclocked at 1085mhz/1150mhz, and with ~80% power usage, the highest overclock I have achieved is +75mhz offset from the factory default clock, getting 1241mhz on the max clock (boost clock + Kepler boost). The GPU fails at 1254Mhz max clock.

So can anybody identify the problem and help me to reach 100+ power usage, I think I can get some super overclock with that.

Thanks in advance!

    Here is a screenshot thanks!

    Update: I have tried using MSI Afterburner and forced a constant voltage on default clock speed, but when i run heaven benchmark, the voltage still shoots up to 1.75

    Sadly there is not enough info ;(

    Are you using the on screen option in Precision X or Afterburner to monitor, or just going back into the application after benching?

    Driver version?
    what monitoring/overclocking applications do you have installed/running when this happens?

    Have you updated the drivers? if so what process did you use?

    Thanks for the reply.

    I'm using latest WHQL driver found on nvidia's website, downloaded on Saturday. I had a fresh install of windows 7 and is using Precision X to both overclock anf monitor the usage (on screen and the graph).

    The usage is confirmed with GPU-Z and I have also tried using Afterburner to overclock after and I had the same result.
