This is most likely in the wrong section. Move as fit

Ive got kinda a small issue that isnt that much of a issue as more of an annoyance. I recently got 2 Vertex 4's in raid 0 to replace my vertex 2's.

And after boot and im at my desktop. steam/xfire/afterburner cant detect a network connection cause it wasnt even connected to my network yet. I have to wait for a good 10 to 15 seconds before its finished and then it works.

im guessing windows just loads too fast?  I know i could add a delay on startup for those few apps. But i would still have to wait to use my browser.

Would there be any way to kinda up the priority of network services in the start up priority?

I can think of 2 choices:
    • Enable the log in screen for Windows. The network service starts to connect as soon as Windows loads, but your applications will start to load only after log in. Hopefully the extra time to log in will be enough to bring up the network.
    • You may have to remove the applications from the start up folder and the registry keys to auto run, and create a script with a delay counter that launch the applications instead.

You can setup the IP address for the computer on the network to be static.  The delay is most likely windows requesting an IP from the DHCP server on your router/modem and then the router/modem issuing an unused IP address to it.

Ill have to try static, delay would really only fix the annoying part of the issue but i would still have to wait. Ill try static and get back to you.

I probably should have asked: Do you use a wired connection?
