I have a pair of x5650's with different Steppings (one with stepping 1 revision B0, and the other stipping 0 revision A0). System won't boot in 2P mode. I get the error "Multiple processor not supported". Is there a workaround to get my system to boot up in Windows 7 ultimate with both cpu's.

Thanks everyone who can help.

    I believe there is not.

Have you tried swapping the Procs around in the sockets so the 0A0 becomes CPU0 instead of CPU1 for instance.

both should have same stepping and revision to work.
or install both processors and remove the cmos battery and press power to drain the caps and reinstall it and try if it had solved it or you should try a modified bios .
