Unfortunately typically only reference design cards are available for step up. This is the case for cards that are currently in production.

I'm really bummed about this now that it's possible to software unlock voltages. The short PCB and other limitations of the vanilla make it so there's very little additional core speed increase possible even after bumping the voltage to 1.212v from 1.175v. Increasing my voltages only gave me an extra 10 MHz or so of core speed increase whereas most people with full length PCB's are getting significant performance increases with the extra voltage.

You guys should do a "pay up" program. I'd pay 20-40 bucks to trade my vanilla 670 in for a full length PCB one.

Oh. I can't because I didn't buy the extended warranty.

I registered and uploaded the invoice and my vanilla still works? Why can't I just pay the 20 bucks + difference in price now?

This was my first EVGA purchase. Guess I did it wrong :(

Keep tweaking the card or try and return it for hopes of getting a better one. Im running a reference 670 also with some pretty decent scores! Check out my thread "Gtx 670 on water, 680's beware"! Best of luck!

    Software unlocked voltages?
I did see they are getting 1.21 volts through the bios on the cards now but where are they through software...

Sorry, that's what I meant. Flashing new BIOS, but at least you don't have to do any hardware modifications.

Post your 670 for sale or trade to someone who wanna down grade...which I doubt, unless it's the 4Gb to the 2Gb since some people don't need that much VRAM.

    CASE: Cooler Master HAF X
PSU: Cooler Master 1200W Silent Pro
    MOBO: Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R
    CPU: Intel i7 960 @ 4.2 GHz
    CPUC: Thermaltake Water 2.0 Extreme
    GPU: EVGA GTX 680 FTW+ 4GB w/ backplate
    SSD: Corsair Force GT 240GB x 2 Raid 0
    HDD: Western Digital 1TB 7200RPM SATA3
Extras: BitFenix Spectre Pro Fans replacement for all HAF X fans (blue).
BitFenix blue sleeved cables full set.
