donta1979 Khalus Absolutely no thanks. I wouldn't play that MMO if they paid me! its a good game... Nah, I was in closed beta for 8 months and at one time thought it was, until it became very clear that so many basic features was missing and would miss launch. Now 5mo after launch they're finally adding what should have been there already, and its still missing so much. For them to have so blatantly copied WoW, I was expecting more of the advanced features that WoW has now, but instead all they did was copy vanilla WoW. With D3, T2, PoX, GW2, and many many others coming soon...I have no time for drivel...only the best stuff for me anymore!

I believe that its a good game but I don't have enough time for it. I allow myself one mmorpg in my life at a time. My last was WOW and i cant believe i wasted that much time on it. If i could i would go back and retake all of those wasted hours. Guild wars 2 can you take any longer?

Sounds as bad as FFXIV. When FFXIV V2.0 Launches, those of us who have been playing from a certain time can have there character name put in the credits for V2.0. Want to know what that makes me in my eyes? A Beta tester. Oh well, still playing it, playing it right now actually. At least it was free while the game was complete garbage.

^I'm actually looking forward to FFXIV 2.0. I may even take them up on their offer and return for the May 9th-20th free period too check out the changes. If its as good as they've been saying, {which I've been following from participating in each poll, and reading all the updates and producer letters as well as the forums weekly} I just may do a 90-day sub and play to complete the 7th Umbral storyline before it disappears. And of course to get the Legacy status...hehe Still waiting on GW2 as my next MMO though...it better deliver damnit!

Having played since the start, the game has come to a point where it is not as repetitive and boring. Still nothing epic like FFXI, nothing to compare to how fun Dynamis and Limbus, but still fun and challenging.

I know a lot of people that were really excited about it. Then after a month of playing, they closed their accounts. From what most tell me is that its just not that great of a game and has bug issues. Dunno, personally never played it, just things I have heard.

All my friend quit playing it after the first month. They complained the PvP in it sucked. Looks like i saved $60 by waiting to see if they liked it or not.

Did everyone give up on SWTOR? I still have 60 days left on my sub, went to play the other day and did an instance after the free server transfers to a higher pop server. Game is good, but for some reason it just doesn't have enough to keep me wanting to play.

I still play it. Server transfers seem to have actually made it worth while to craft stuff again. I was never really a pvp type. Just got into a new guild hoping to see some some ops and the flashpoints that were geared for the later levels. My server was so empty it was impossible to find a group. On the bright side I do enjoy the story side so this is actually the first online game I have leveled more than 1 character to max level. Now if they would just open up transfers to different time zones I would be a bit happier. I must admit though nothing is really tying me to the game except the lack of options out there that interest me. Been debating on gw2 but since I'm not into pvp not sure if it would be the right fit for me. Really wish they would come out with an eq type game where stuff was hard not handed to you because you cried on the game forums that you were going to take your 15 dollars somewhere else. I would like to see no official type of faction splitting players from grouping at least on PVE servers. I could see it on pvp and the roleplaying servers. I Think that if a giant ogre want's to hang out with a bunch of ity bity wood elfs he should be able to. And don't make it so friggin easy to solo through levels. Getting bored of the single-player onling rpg's that call themselves mmo's.

I only bought the game for the immersive story modes, which I didn't have the money for sadly and I couldn't play after 2 days of buying it

I haven't tried it personally, I did hear that it had an excellent story and good voice acting. HOwever most of my friends that played it, loved it and are done. The complaint was no challenge, said it had a good story, but was too easy and that the combat felt like watered down WoW. As a Starwars fan, I might try it once it is on a major sale, but I LOVE to have a challenge, and I just keep hearing over and over that it is a beautiful and easy game.

@Dave_B - SWTOR is a very good game IMO...People hate because you know that's the 'in thing' to do for w/e reason. The end game being the Operations weren't the most difficult, but imo what are? Like all of the raids in any game it's a matter of mem'z a pattern...Watch YouTube: move here, use your CD's here, run away here...etc. - I don't consider that a challenge. The issue I take with all of the MMO's that are out here now is that they don't instigate venturing out into the world...WoW, LotRO, RIFT, and SWTOR all want you to socialize in the main city rather than venture out and enjoy the worlds they created. Last but not least is the mobs are never a challenge... TL;DR - TOR is an excellent game as all the others...the issue is it follows the pattern of most others, content is slow to come out as well. People hate because anyting with EA on it is product branded from Satan himself instead of thinking objectively...

I bought Tera and its loads of fun. Its not the typical tab target fest, you must actually be very interactive with it. Being its "Asian" look a lot of people are blowing it off as a grind fest. Its been fun for me, they have a political system w/ elections and no factions. On PVP servers they have a lot of unique options. If you are up in the air, wait for t to drop a little in price and give it a try. I am currently playing the horrible horrible game of D3 simply trying to make my money back at this point lol.

@GameFX Ahh, thanks for the input. I have gamed tons since DOS days, and done a lot of genres, you are right that most games can become VERY easy for the reaasons you described. I had a WoW account, I actually did adventure a lot, as I was a huge fan of the RTS predecessors, so it was interesting to me, also the first MMO I played was WoW. I know what you mean, people hate because its what the cool kids do these days, I heard from friend, not bashing on it, just that after some other MMO's it felt easy and kinda watered down, combat wise. In all honesty, I will play something I find even painfully easy if I really enjoy the story line, like I loved Sacred 1 back in the day, there was so much little content and subtle bits of humor, I found it very fun, and I did beat it. Game type, I dont care either way, MMO, Multi, single player, but I mainly want a story line above all else, thats what really sucks me into a game.
