That's not really what it was referring to. Woot Shirts have annual competitions for various holidays and urges people to come up with humorous parodies of said holidays. They get thousands of submissions and choose the top 10 (usually) for their shirts. This shirt is a parody of nerdiness and Valentine's day. Instead of saying, "Will you be my valentine?", it's "Be my player number 2".
