Long story short my old 8800GT had been passed down to my wife's PC. It was bought direct from eVGA in 2007. Over the last few months it started to show signs of vmem errors and artifact/bsod. I bought a new 7950 and let my wife use my gtx470 while I RMAed the 8800GT. The turn around time was REALLY fast and both me and her where very excited when we opened the box and it had a 550Ti in it! While its not a huge upgrade, going from a 8800gt to a fermi its just awesome! Really makes me wish I had waited to buy my 7950 and went with another eVGA card for my main PC. Anyways, thanks guys for being one of the most stand up company's around.

Anyways, thanks guys for being one of the most stand up company's around. Shishh a GTX550Ti! You are really lucky sir! I also bought a 8800GT that just died on me lately, did the RMA process, got the card shipped to EVGA and they received it last friday and when I went on my account in the RMA Part Number Out section it says that I'll get the same 8800GT :( I would really like to have a GTX550Ti as my replacement too, is it possible?? I've read of couple of threads about the RMA of a 8800GT and it seems like everyone is getting different replacement card, some say they had a gts250, some others gts450 and you a GTX550Ti. Seriously I would be so happy to have a 550Ti too since this is a pretty neat upgrade. So far the RMA process was really easy, fast and I had good service with all the help I needed to RMA my card. Now let's just hope the Part Number Out on my account was wrong and I can be as lucky as you with my replacement. Go Go EVGA you know you rock and we love you so much!! (so please send me the same card as the OP haha)

They will always send back the same model if they have it in stock, if not you will get something equal to or better in performance. (Never Cost, just adding that because we get people who **** and complain.)

loveha They will always send back the same model if they have it in stock, if not you will get something equal to or better in performance. (Never Cost, just adding that because we get people who **** and complain.) Yeah I know it's working like that but I mean, I don't understand why many people RMA their 8800GT and all of them had different card as their replacements. Why someone got a GTX550Ti while someone else got a gts250 and another a gts450 for the same 8800GT that was RMA, it doesn't make any sense to me. Another thing that I don't understand is why someone who RMA his 8800GT before me got a GTX550Ti as a replacement when I get the same 8800GT that I've send them for RMA (from my account in the Part Number Out section in RMA). I just think its not fair and I kinda feel that replacement card are mostly based on luck or something. I know that the lifetime warranty from EVGA is pretty awesome and I far as I know they are the only company doing this and that I'm lucky to be able to have a new card for nothing because of this great warranty (I greatly appreciate it and that's exactly why I purchase EVGA products from now on) but I don't think its right that some people get better cards than others.
