Hi, Could anyone who use two of these bad boys can let me know how much power they take at full load? I bought my PSU thinking of only using one GTX 680, but I bought a second one and I am not sure if my PSU could handle these card in SLI + overcloking. Maybe a 1050 HX/AX 1200 would be a safer choice. My setup is listed in my signature. Cheers!

I would draw the line at an 850 but I think even then it would be pushing it. But i DID run 2x 570 SC on a TX850 and from what ive read 680s use more or less the same power as 570s

Funny you should ask, as I was doing some testing yesterday using my P3 killawatt. Here's what I found using the FAH client on both GPUs and CPUs (GPUs at 132% power): At Idle I was drawing 161 watts Full on GPUs was 422 Watts Full on CPU & GPUs 537 watts I'm running a mildly OCed I7-950 (3.7K) on an EVGA X58 FTW with one 5400 rpm HD, two SSDs, a BD-rom/DVD, 5 case fans, 16 gigs ram and a Hyper 212+ off an Antec EA-750

You have more than enuff power with that psu. My system draws less than 1000w. Check out my modrigs page. Use the link to the right.

The Corsair AX1200 is a huge waste for a GTX680 SLI, even on a GTX680 3-Way SLI. I was running a 3-Way SLI of GTX580 on a Silverstone Strider Plus 1000W and it was plenty, highest power draw I've seen (peak) was ~910W from the wall which is less than 800W from the PSU, and that w as with cards overclocked at 850MHz Core. The GTX680 is way more power eficient than the GTX580's, so I am sure you could run a 3-Way SLI of them on a proper 1000W PSU more than fine, I could with GTX580's..

I am pretty sure you are right, but I wasen't sure if the AX 850W would of done it either. Better safe than sorry! Thanks for the information though.

I own the AX1200 its a great power supply. Comes with a 7 year warranty too i believe. Over kill for two 680's, could have probably snagged a 850w and been good. But im with you id rather have more than not enough. Plus the PSU will last you multiple builds so its a good investment. Better off not running a PSU with a big load anyways, plus it will take alot longer to loose juice over time.

I use the AX750 for my 680 sli. The highest power draw I've seen is 648w (at the wall and not taking the psu's 87% efficiency into account) with 3d11 with the 680s at 130-155-400 OC and my cpu is OC at 4.6ghz and a bunch of external HDDs and other crap. Gaming is in the 500s, so 1200 will definitely be enough, but definitely not necessary. This is one of the reasons I waited for the 680s - less power draw and not requiring a new PSU. They draw less than 570 sli.

For my system, the highest I've seen from the wall, total system draw, is 585. Converted at 85% efficiency, that's 497.25W DC. Makes me chuckle that I have a 1250W PSU. All juiced up and nothing to flex!
