I know the 680's are suppose to have "GPU Boost", kinda like SpeedStep.

Well with Precision X, now my GPU shows it idles around 50MHz Core, then loads at 700MHz Core which is stock.

Does it "GPU Boost" my 480 just like a 680?

    Nope, 680 only for boost.

    Nope, 680 only for boost.

Why does it show 50MHz at idle though? Just a glitch?

I would think it's running adaptive rather than performance, to do that. (Unless it isn't changing when demand increases).
I had to go through all the settings on mine, and it isn't doing that. so far it's working fine. I haven't installed it on my gaming setups yet though.

Gigabyte Z590 Vision G Mobo, intel i3 10105 CPU, 32GB GSkill Ripjaws DDR4 3200 RAM, EVGA GTX 750ti FTW Video Card, EVGA SuperNOVA 850 G2 power supply, Fractal Design Focus G (White) case, Cooler Master Hyper212 RGB Black CPU cooler. 2 Dell LED Monitors (20" & 24"), SK Hynix Gold 1TB SATA SSD (OS Drive), 6 WD HDDs 13TB total (Storage).
Rig is a partial update on the old Gigabyte P43/Q6600 OC rig... The WD HDD's, (13TB, total), Blu-ray & DVD burners,  GTX750ti FTW & Supernova 850 G2 psu, migrated from old setup... Will get an 11700K, and an RTX 3060 12GB Black card, when I'm ready to OC... Windows 11 Pro set for performance, and it runs at 4.2Ghz...

Built for Gaming, Video Production, and Cakewalk, Cubase DAWs...

It is the 2d mode, if you switch to prefer maximum performance it will run at full clock speeds no matter what. It wont dynamically clock the card like 680's.

    Thanks,

Ahh yep, somehow it got changed back. Yeah that's it. Thanks. I just thought I had GPU Boost.

Prefer Maximum Performance forces maximum clocks running a 3D application. Useful for some older games/applications that don't load the GPU enough and can result in stuttering with the clocks changing power states.  Just sitting on the Desktop or even when running Fire Fox the cards will still down clock to idle. This is with Prefer Max Perf set.
