Hi!
I have a question about the setup of a GTX550ti SLI Connection:
My PSU is a XFX Pro 550W and it uses a single rail.

The question is:
Is the PSU powerfull enough for this setup:
AMD fx6100 Bulldozer (!!NO OC!!)
Asus M5A99X Evo
Corsair Vengeance 8gb
2x EVGA GTX550ti

(It can handle the setup with a single GTX550ti)

I hope you can help me..
Cya

You're fine pairing that PSU with two 550's as long as you don't overclock the CPU.

Don't make stuff up, nVidia's own site says each GTX550 Ti  is 116W (9.5A each) for max graphic card power.  Two makes 19A and the stock AMD 6-core puts the total 12v amperage in the upper 20's, adding in the 12v req of any drives and fans would put his need in the lower 30's..  His PSU label in photo says 44A available on 12v, so he's got a 25% overhead after installing two cards in SLI.  Do the math next time.

For Intel processors, 0.122 x TDP = Continuous Amps at 12v [source].

That 3Dmark06 power consumption reading is the whole system including the card, the test setup includes an i7-965 at stock (130W TDP) in an X58 with triple-channel DIMMs and an SSD for good measure.  Also, power in a graphics card is limited by connectors: 75W through slot, 75W per 6-pin and 150W per 8-pin-- GTX550 Ti only has one 6-pin, so it has provisions for up to 150W, not 240W which requires one 6-pin and one 8-pin.

For Intel processors, 0.122 x TDP = Continuous Amps at 12v [source].
