Has anyone noticed that NVidia stock soared 2.33% today, thats a significant one day gain. How is it that the investors are always the first to know something. Anyone want to place a bet that an anouncement will be made soon?

Yeah,
Nvda was literally the only stock in my etrade portfolio of 11 that was green today. I found a few news bits that could of prompted it but nothing that seemed to be worth 2.5ish %.

7950 supposedly beaten the gtx 580 ....
Nvidia better give hard ons if they want to continue to be loved by gpu enthusiests

Hmm lets see how long has the 580 been out.......and how long has the 7950 been out? You expect Nvidia to beat AMD's newest with old technology. Just give it some time and Nvidia will prove its place.

I agree. How ever, the 7970 only beats my overclocked cards (when not in SLI) by about 2-3 FPS. So No point of an upgrade. I am waiting for the 6xx or even 7xx cards. I do nvidia does something soon. I want nvidia to come out with new cards, so the 580 goes down in price so I can buy another one :)
