Posted this review yesterday. Can't believe this is not being marketed to gamers better. It's expensive. But it hits 1440p with stellar color accuracy, deep blacks, adjustable response times and 10-bit color. 99Hz using Precision X 4.0 pixel clock utility. Gaming is amazing! But I couldn't hit that 100Hz land of milk and honey. Oh well. 99Hz from 60Hz is impressive. http://www.gadgetreview.c...hd-monitor-review.html

Look like a nice monitor but a grand is a little rough for a 2560x1440p monitor. I bought mine for $400, granted it probably couldnt do 99hz, but for $600 less thats fine with me.

Exactly and I know that's why LG is targeting film and photography editors. Catleap and Overlord offer 27 inchers that actually do overclock as well or better for $400-$550. But I still wanted folks to know my findings with this one. I was REALLY surprised by the performance.

Nice to see that the DVI port is still available on modern monitors, thats still my connection of choice.

That's a nice OC...my question is about how much does it cut down the lifespan of the monitor?

_NITE_ mine as well. I had hoped to see a difference in color with a displayport when I first used one a few years ago. I keep checking and trying others but no dice. It does audio and video like HDMI but I prefer DVi and an aftermarket sound card.

i overclocked my asus 1440p monitor to 90hz (couldn't go any higher) refresh rate and played some crysis 3 and my monitor gets a little hot, dropped it down to 75 and it stays pretty cool. i leave it stock mostly, i want to keep my $700 monitor aleast till the warranty expires.

No one knows the long-term efx on this display's longevity. But it stays super cool. It is really one the most impressive windows I have ever tested. 3-way surround would be amazing and impoverishing.
