Powerwise, that will work fine with the cards at stock (not alot of overhead with the rest of your config)

But in a 922 case the non-modular cables are going to be a nitemare to deal with..

I would think carefully about your case layout, airflow and the negitive listings in the review.

The Silencer 910 is one heck of a PSU.  Probably the best bang for the buck going right now.

It is more than enough to power GTX580's in SLI, and give you some headroom for OC'ing as well.

The Silencer is a great PSU. I think you are set. I'm only seeing around a 550W draw from the wall with my two 580s which are also set at 850 MHz and loaded between 85-94%. The power draw can peak at 650w if I fully load the GPUs.

The Silencer 910 is only loud past 700W of load, which you will not be drawing from the PSU with your setup.  You should only hear a very slight "whirr" with the kit you have in your sig plus a second GTX580.

The TX950 runs too hot for me to recommend it.  It's a decent platform for 850W, but it's stretched out to much and at the limit at 950W as is shown by the exhaust temps under load.

It is my firm belief that many of the people who post reviews on New Egg are mentally retarded......so their "reviews" should not hold that much weight in your buying decision....good or bad.

I agree that Newegg reviews are questionable...

My major concern is your 922 case and a non-modular PSU, as finding space for all the extra cables will be tough and still keep the airflow clean.

You think 850W with 70A is good enough for my setups with 2x 580?

I was thinking about the Antec 900W too.  It has 3 or 4 rails, 40A each, I think.

One of my systems is similarly configured to yours. I even run the same CPU frequency and board. I only have one disk attached but the power consumption difference should be minimal there. Based on my power consumption, 70A should be more than enough. You might also consider the Corsair AX850 or Seasonic X-850 if you want modular and a larger fan.

A quality 850W will be enough.

    What is your budget?

If you want a very good PSU that is modular you might want to look at this:http://www.newegg.com/Pro...x?Item=N82E16817194081

I still say if you can deal with the hardwired cables, which in all honesty isn't all that hard if you are patient, then the Silencer 910 can't be beat for the price.

Also a +1 for the AX850 and the Seasonic X-850 mentioned by linuxrouter.

even though the antec hcg 900 is a delta built unit, i think youd be better off with the PC P&C 910. its a better built, more consistent unit and PC P&C usually under rate there psu's, so this unoit should probably do 1000 watts in a pinch if its needed. the antec unit hasnt done very well in some of the reviews ive seen, but google and do your own research....dont believe us!!! a psu is not a component to skimp on or make snap decisions about.

    Wow... just read this: http://www.fudzilla.com/g...ound-30-percent-faster

Looks like AMD will launch 7970 12/22, next week.  I'm going to wait a few weeks before buying anything ;-)

    Hopefully, my 750W will be enough for 2x 7970 or 2x 7950.
