It's MSNBC reporting, they're a bunch of environmentalist hippies that invent their own reality through liberal use of LSD. They'll probably try to come up with some explanation about how those evil NASA people are ruining the moon.

I always wondered why NASA never gave out pictures of the items left behind from the Moon visits. Pretty cool to see these items now and the LRV with tracks still on the surface after all these years

This is completely different. If I had to toss the McMuffin wrapper out of the car  in order for it to weigh enough for me to make it home alive... well, then you might have a point.

These things are going to be enshrined in a future museum for sure. Possibly one actually on the moon ala Star Trek cannon.

You people need to get real about this and quit over reacting to a news headline. I am sure if they used the term "artifacts", this post wouldn't exist.

First our land, then our oceans, in our air, and now the Moon! Were going to pollute everything in the universe at some point, if civilization is still present.

I will either find a way, or make one.

Plus, it was extra equipment the astronauts couldn't take back. It was replaced with moon rocks and core samples.
