I have 2 3750 (L3) switches in a stack, i refer to them as the "Core Switch" as my other 12 3560's hook up to this, as well as a 2950, and a dell 3548. Now my 3750's are my DHCP servers. I have 4 total networks, a 10.10 net, a 10.64 net, and 1 networks for our office phones, and one for our actual business phones (Office and Business phones are VLAN'd). For some reason my first 3 offer dhcp addresses to clients when they request them. But for some reason one of my VLAN's stopped offering addresses, I have checked the dhcp bindings in the switch and i should have about 80 addresses left that can be assigned. I can manually assign myself an address that i know is not being used and everything is fine. I am at a loss right now. Any advice would be fantastic as our lead Network admin has vacated the premises and i am the only one that really has any knowledge on that, little as it may be. Thank you for your consideration.

Check to make sure your VLANs are properly trunked all the way through.  DHCP wont get through if the VLANs are not making it through.

For sure, i will have to go through a few of them and try it out. If this is any help, i can plug a device directly into my core switch (DHCP server) and it still will not assign an ip to it.  Give me a few minutes and i will upload some config files.

Check for per-port MAC address assignments (idk the real name) - its a feature designed to prevent Joe Schmoe from plugging in random junk to a secure network.  This could explain why you are not getting leases when plugged into the core; if the MAC isnt whitelisted on the port, no DHCP lease will be given.

You can turn on DHCP debugs and then plug in a host and see what can of messages you see.

Make sure term mon is on to see the debug output.

    Commands:
    debug ip dhcp server events
    debug ip dhcp server packets

lets be simple, on the network you're having issues, can you ping the 3750's from the switch that is having issues?  3750 Stack ping the switches you're having an issue with?

Do sh int vlan and sh vlan br what is the output you get on both switches?

Issue solved. Reboot fixes everything. I could always ping my 3750 stack, it's just that i had to statically assign myself an ip that was not already assigned or had a binding. But this is the first time it has ever happened in there 4+ years of service. So sweet goodness. Thanks for the help guys.

We don't have a whitelist setup at the moment. If we did, it would be terrible to manage due to the shear amount of devices that we have on the network at the moment.
