I'm still waiting on my watercooling gear to arrive but, thought Id show everyone where I'm at so far. As many of you know this build has been a nightmare. from bad motherboards to terrible RMA support it has been anything but, a labor of love.. Anyway as you can see I have my PSU house about completed I just need to wait for my watercooling gear to get here for finally mock ups so I can drill water tubing holes where they need to be plus primer and paint the housing white. Hardware list: 2600k ASUS P67 Evo B3 EVGA GTX580 w/backplate 8GB G.Skill Sniper 2xM4 128GB SSD'd in Raid 0 2x750GB Western Digital Blacks Seasonics X750 PSU NZXT Phantom white still collecting watercooling gear....

How did your RMA case end?
After a lot of back and forth I finally asked to speak to someone higher up... Then another few days of the run around I was contacted directly from a "Manager in charge of customer service" explained my case, told him how funny I thought two damaged shipping claims were, and that I was following up with BBB with or without a fair ending.. All of a sudden I have a brand new board coming my way... But, as you can see I no longer have an MSI GPU or motherboard....

I've had 1 RMA over the years.. I've had asus for the same amount of time.. never had to use their RMA, so I don't know.. Im glad that you got it worked out.. It is just sad that they didn't send you a new board right away instead of making you angry.. All they got was a "lost customer".. if they had dealt otherwise you would probably still have a MSI motherboard, am I correct?

I went with an EVGA 580 w/backplate and a ASUS P67 EVO B3 motherboard (would have went with EVGA for motherboard as well but, didn't want another black/red theme). I have dealt with both EVGA and ASUS RMA's in the past and they were both Aces in my book.. I probably would still be running both my MSI TFII 580 and P67A-GD80 B3 motherboard if this run around wouldn't have happened but, it did and I'll never use their products again because of it...

I must say that I fully understand your decision.. There's no reason dealing with such a bad company.. Did you write a review of MSI, so other customers can see how badly they treated you?

I went so far as to tell my story on their forums and it was promptly deleted... kind of sad really..

Loving the color scheme!
Thanks! I was trying to be as original as possible.. With that said I thought white, charcoal, black, and sky blue would be something not done all together..

Ay caramba, that is so gorgeous looking. Your color choices were in fact the best (from that thread you made). Is that tiny yellow bit above the GPU a P/N or S/N sticker? I would carefully remove & stash it after your system is up and running. Or at least cover it with a thin diecut strip of black semi-sticky tape. I have a feeling you're a perfectionist! Your custom cables are the crowning touch... I better shut up now, gotta save something for the complete build!

God I wish I could do some custom cablework like that in my rig. Absolutely beautiful! Can't wait to see the finished product.
