Okay, well I have been running Seti@home via BONIC for the better part of a decade. Recently, though, I decided to jump on the chimp challenge bandwagon.

So I followed this:

And now have the tracker up and running with my CPU and both GPUs chugging away...

...so now what? And WTH are we folding for?

We are folding to help science find cures for diseases, of course, evga bucks, and prizes are nice, and it would be nice to walk away for a second year with the jade monkey, and a CC win, but that's not why we fold. Thanks for helping with CC, shure would be nice if we could find some more help, 7 days left, and we are in 5th place, Unless we get some more help from team members still folding under their own name, or new folders, there is no hope for a win this year.
But at least everything works twords cures.

Do your core temps show up as lower when folding versus using something else to max out the CPU/GPU such as LinX or Furmark? I recently redid my fan setup, but my temps seem WAY lower then when, for example, I was doing LinX runs the other day. Sorry for the rambling, friends are over and mass quantities of beer have been consumed!

I'm sure it does. My temps do anyway. I don't think it uses 100% 100% of the time like linx does. Only reserves all 100% for when it's needed. But I don't understand enough about folding anyway. You should ask this in the folding area for a quicker and more detailed response than I can give you.
