I was a cartoon junkie back in the 60's. Bugs Bunny, Auggie Doggie and Doggy Daddy, Quickdraw McGraw, Astro boy. If it was animated I watched it.

The other thing I always tried to watch on Saturday was the old Tarzan movies. I liked Johnny Weismueller the best. He also had a series called Jungle Jim that was no where as good as Tarzan.

I always liked the toons from the 30's-40's like the old Superman cartoon and Popeye plus the loony toons were alot better, cant beat gangster mice standing on street corners drinking and smoking. As far as saturday morning, I remember watching Captain Caveman, Jabber Jaw and of course Scooby doo, the  pre Scrappy ones.

What drives me totally crazy about some anime like Dragonball, Bleach, Nurato and One Piece is that they're crazy long series. You get stuck with filler arcs and a lot of really painfully drawn out sequences. I'd love for some of these series to be re-edited to be tolerable without having to watch 400 episodes. There are some arcs in these series that seem just right and others are simply painful.

I really liked Heman/thundercats, then transformers and GI Joe.
Then, later there was a short ran series called Exo-Squad that was pretty cool. It only lasted a couple seasons and aired reeeeal early in the morning, like 6AM or something.

Read the Manga that way there are no filler episodes.  They only do fillers when the anime catches up to the manga and they need the seperation.

The Flintstones, The Jetsons, Top Cat, Yogi Bear, The Quick Draw McGraw Show, Scooby Doo. Hanna-Barbera FTW!

Anamaniacs, Looney Toons, The Batman, Duck Tales, Recess, Doug.

The good old days.... they don't do animation like they used to anymore. Everything is all 3D and shiny and doesn't have rich narratives like traditional animated cartoons.
