Aquacomputer Aquaero 6 XT! I kid I kid. I just ordered a lamptron CW611, there is also the Lamptron FC5 V3 which I almost ordered instead. They a great products without the aquacomputer prices, one would cost 300 with the accessories. what's your budget

I am using Lamptron FC5-v3's myself, love those controllers. 30 watts per channel times 6 channels, so 180 watts of can control. Pretty nice. Got some really high current fans on it, big, high SP fans for rads, no issues, excellent control, lots of colors for display, personally I'm using blue, but there are others as well. If you are using normal to low wattage fans you will be able to run far more than the 14-20 you are asking about.

The controller I recommend will handle those fans and more. As for the loop, what case is this in, what budget are you likely to have, also, how cold are you looking at getting this, just cool and quiet, or enough overhead for brink OCs for competitive clocking on ambient temps? Also, how important is keeping the system quiet? The will dictate radiators and fans used.

Hi Dave do you know if there is a display fader on the FC5-v3? Its pretty much the reason I choose the cw611, I actually like the fc5-v3 a little better.

The "case" is the desk show above. I want to make something nice, with a little help from EVGA members for the creativity with the possibilities that can be done. I've never done a water cooling loop before, but I want it done right. But as you can see below, is the reason for the fan controller. So thanks for all the info so far This will be a over time progression to save up for all the parts needed.

Why not? Dedicated folder and server for my 10 HDD's for my network? To name a few. I don't run my main rig 24/7 but having this option to run a dedicated computer. But as I said before, I want it done right! :D I'll be making another thread later in the month once this has been delivered to inquire the parts and designing/layout of it.

I do not recall a fader, however IMHO it is not terribly bright. Don't have a pic handy but I will see what I can get, won't be right away though, go a lot going on outside of work atm.

So if I pull the trigger on the FC5v3, what else do I need for connecting all the fans to this unit? Alot of extensions lols? I never had a fan controller so I'm not sure what to expect. I plan to have at least 14 fans to start with.

I have splitters by Phobya. So I control 3 fans per nob, wire them up you will see RPM and voltage used. Look at the total wattage of the fans, from there you can figure out how many you can run per node, and organize/cable from there.

Sweet, thanks for the info. Are those the Phobya Y splitters on FrozenCPU? edit: Can't seem to find the w usage on these fans http://www.cougar-world.com/us/products/fans/cfd_blue_led_fan.htmlTrying to figure out how many of these I can place on 1 port on the FC-5V3.

I was not finding it either. Usually the total power consumption is on the label, I ma not finding a good label view or info form Cougar. Unless someone else has some info on the actual fan specs, I would recommend calling Cougar. I would be surprised if it was less than 4 per channel, likely more.

I left em an email a couple days ago. No response. But yea as for the question before hand about the Phobya splitters. I was trying to find the ones that will work on the 2 pin Lamptron. The ones on frozen are all 3 pins? Only one I could find was on amazon http://www.amazon.com/Pho...ble-30cm/dp/B004X2X9AE is this the correct one to look for? I may need alot of extensions for the desk.
