GPU Fairies.      The GPU Fairies are getting bored and lonely with nothing to do.  So they put your second card to work so that they won't feel left out.

Im not sure to tell you the truth.  I don't think there's anything resembling PhysX in this game that I know of.  Could it be possible that there is some sort of "spill over" to the second card?   Even though you don't have SLI enable, the PC still knows that there's a second card there.

Yep, that's the same old Cait I have in Sanctuary. I gotta wonder if putting one of those hoods with hoses on her would shut her up. I haven't seen any 'Gags' laying around the Raider camps yet.

What I am wondering is if one gag will work on all. I have a robot companion and that thing won't shut up. At least with Dog Meat the ears got a break.

Just a little heads up to those that are playing the latest DLC or those that are getting ready to.

Without spoiling it you will need to do a save at each door that your robot companion can only open. When I got to the mechanist's chamber I ran into a problem and ended up reloading the last save several times before it allowed me to advance.

I keep getting a random crash.    Pretty sure it's one of the mods I updated, but not sure which one.  Might be time to start bug hunting again.

Other than that, spent an evening building me a nice little shop out back with a walkway leading up to the door that those sticky fingered settlers don't like to use.   That'll keep em out of my stuff.

And Im still 5 levels away from the minimum requirements for the DLC.  Yeah, I could jump in early, but I need to get a few more perks.

Remove all your current mods and verify that you no longer get the random crashes. Then load 1 mod at a time for verification until you get crashing again. Then you will have determine if the mod is just bad or if it's a conflict between them and which one(s).

If you haven't played it yet, it's tough. Come prepared...........to die. LOL

Im hoping I don't have to go that far.

I can narrow it down to the mods I updated over the weekend.   DLC's tend to throw a bit of a monkey wrench into things where certain mods are concerned.    Of course I could just not run mods.

Wait.  Let me think that one over...

Nope.  Can't do it.

I'm in the same boat as I never tried them either. I just remember all the horror stories that came with them and didn't want the headaches.

I've had nothing but headaches lately. I replaced all of my hoses in my loop with 1/2" x 5/8" hose just so I could use the compression fittings that someone gave me. After that my video boards were running hotter than Haydes. I tried everything I could think of. I even reapplied TIM to my video boards and that made it worse. I couldn't even play Fallout 4 last night because my video board was shooting straight to 70°C and would have gone higher if I didn't have my Temp Limit in Afterburner set to 70. It took me two hours to redo the hose back to 1/2" x 3/4" with barbed fittings and not a leak in sight and my temps are back to normal.

That sucks.

Is there a possibility that there may have been some trapped air in the system when you used the smaller hose?

That's kind of strange.   1/2id in both cases. I wonder if the compression fittings were pinching and restricting the hose somehow.   That's the only difference between the two I can see.

You don't have a flow meter?

And yes, mods can be a nightmare if you install carelessly or don't pay attention to what you are doing.

As a general rule of thumb, I don't like to install mods manually.  Too easy to screw things up that way and troublesome if you need to remove or reinstall.   I prefer to use mod managers whenever possible.  Especially when you're chasing down a conflict.

Nah, same 1/2" i.d. hose. It's just really flimsy. IDK if I just got a cheap brand or all hose that size is nothing but weak junk. I was Folding along fine when out of nowhere I get some weird message that my GTX-980 is not a removable item. What? RealTemp had the GPU temp locked at 50 degrees while Afterburner showed all Zeroes for every setting. Device Manager said GTX-980 boards were operating normally. I reinstalled the drivers and here I sit, broken hearted. No more Folding on weekends. There was a notation in the Folding log file about some kind of file failed to download. Not my problem. I never heard of that junk from Stanford's server before this. Faulting Module for the BCC 117 was some kind of Cache.sys. Nevermind, here it is: discache.sys

I don't own it yet, but from what I am hearing, based on the price, they should have added a lot more to it for being $10.

IMHO I think it's good. Play through for me was about 4 hours. The main game in general however is better due to the new enemies that stay with it after the play through. For me, that adds value. I should also add that I bought it early.

While $10 is cheap considering what It costs to go to a movie, a little more content wouldn't hurt. But I'm not complaining and for me, if I had not bought the DLC package when I did, I would have purchased it at current price. But that's just me.

I notice when I fire my flare gun that there are never any Minutemen available any more especially against robots. On the other hand, no respectable Minuteman would be seen in the neighborhoods I tend to frequent.

I can't recall the settlement name, but it's at the very bottom of the map. It's kind of in a swamp area, but there is definitely a settlement here. In that area tends to spawn a mirelurk queen every time, with 4-5 regular mirelurks. Can be quite challenging, and I you're on survival, can be your worst nightmare. If you have this settlement decked out, should make it a breeze.
(I would like to see Bethesda release a DLC with a quest to allow a "zombie raid" where 50-75 of the radiated zombies come and attack Sanctuary. This quest would then be repeatable)

A new kind of Ghoul seems to have appeared along with the DLC. I can't remember what they're called but they look like glowing charcoal and are really hard to kill.

I can deal with most of the robots. It's the Scavengers that are miraculously hovering in the shadows that steal the parts before I can get to them.

They got the scrap from one of my robot kills yesterday. I walked up to an empty pile of robot. Spotted a Scavenger who told me that robot parts are great for scrap and fetch a lot of caps at Junk Vendors. Huh! Well, I never shot anyone in the back who wasn't showing up red in VATS but I was sorely tempted. I would have got away with it too unless ADA squealed on me. LOL

What's the verdict as far as updating? I purposely stayed offline and have never updated because I want to play stable but if I want to try any DLC, I will have to update. I saved my save folder, anything else to know aside from saving often? Or should I not bother?

I had few problems after the DLC downloaded and installed. Rebooting my PC and restarting Steam helped but in the end I needed to verify the game cache to get everything smooth and stable again.

So I believe I'm on the latest build, but my load times are much longer than what they used to be. I have the game loaded on a SSD, have verified the files through steam and yet it is much longer that what they used to be. Has this been addressed already or is there a fix?
