When I run the FAH control client, it doesn't connect. When I run that and go to the FAH URL it times out and tells me to make sure I have FAH installed, have the client control running, and to refresh the page. Does this happen to anyone else? Is there a way to fix this? Edit: It was working fine previously but now I can't get it to connect and I haven't changed any settings.

Try uninstalling the program and then reinstalling it. Sometimes things get wacky, as I recently had an issue where F@H did not recognize my GPUs. After uninstall and reinstalling the program things have worked flawlessly since then.

Same here uninstalled then reinstalled and it worked fine.

Well, no joy here. I uninstalled FAH and reinstalled the latest version and the same thing happens...nothing. It says connecting then I get no connection with the control client and going to the FAH web page gives me the same message about timing out and to make sure FAH control is installed and running.

If Win7, go to start>all programs>FAHClient and double click Folding @ Home. Or, go to the task manager and make sure FAHClient .exe*32 is running

Yeah, that's not working.FAHclient.exe is running it just never connects. I've also checked my antivirus and firewall to make sure they're not blocking this-adding FAH to the white list so IDK what's going on.

Take a snap shot of your Client and Post it. Do you see Green like below or a Orange Color like the 2nd image. Command "C:\Program Files (x86)\FAHClient\FAHClient.exe" (I remove the -WebClient or what ever it is from the short cut)  Command "C:\Program Files (x86)\FAHClient\FAHControl.exe"

I have seen this issues before when you install it only for you or a single user. Uninstall FAH Client and delete all the Folders "C:\Program Files (x86)\FAHClient" and "\????\ProgramData\FAHClient" IN this Folder you will see a sub folder called Work Delete any Short Cuts that you may have on your Desktop too. Restart and install so that any user can use it. In this Mode your data will be listed under C:\ProgramData\FAHClient and NOT your Profile that you installed it under.

I'll give that a try when I get back home. However, I installed it for "everyone" and not single user. At any rate, it certainly can't hurt to try deleting that folder and sub folder before reinstalling.

Okay, I uninstalled the program again, deleted the local data, restarted and installed FAH. All is well now, it connected right away.
