Yeah wolf is right, these boards are stable with the right settings. He helped me out alot with mine and its running great at 195bclck.

You glaze over the issue of how many DIMMs you run and at what multiplier. I'm guessing you are either running with only 4 DIMMs or you are running your RAM at 1172 MHz (or both), i.e. running the RAM underclocked by 12%.

Supermicro X8DTH-6, 2x X5690
Crucial 12x 8GB x4 DR 1.35V DDR3-1600 ECC RDIMMs (96GB)
3x GTX 1080Ti
Triple-Seat Virtualized With VGA Passthrough (KVM)

Here are some stats from my evga sr-2 build.
Finally i got the 4 graphic cards to work. Need to wait for a 2nd Sli bridge to make the 2 x Quad Sli :).

Temp´s are OK. All Fans are running well. Bit Noisy but i dont care about it :).

No overclocking done yet. I stay on the old bios as everything works well (at the time)

Thank you wolf for your great tipps :) !

Im only running 12gigs of ram. 6 modules at 2gb in each red slot. For gaming
I dont see the need for more at the moment. I had a 930 i7 and had it overclocked to 4.2ghz and had my ram at 1866mhz I believe. I can assure you that this setup will outperform it anyday. One crucial part is the cache on the chip. 12mb vs 8. I noticed a big improvement when I switched over to six core processors. Although the sr2 doesnt like high mem clock speeds from what ive read they dont call it the super record for nothin.

@jdub your right , 12 gigs would do also as well :)

i have to buy another sli bridge - damn (only one flex sli bridge arround) ;(

6 cores are sick, mines are "dimpling" arround with the standard windows programs haha :D.

Today i tried some ocing and i was falling like a pony, just thought ok - some voltage, some cpu frequency and go for it - "and taddaa" blackscreen and no boot, i felt so "noobish" to think that it would be soooo easy to overclock a "2 cpu" board :D
