Hi,
I would like to compare the temperature during BF5 gaming ( temps . after 30 min . gaming) .
I used the 450 OC Bios and the latest Nvidia Studio, driver.
The CPU is a core7 8700 OC to 5200Mhz.
GPU is Evga 3080 ftw Ultra.
IF THE 3080 owner shares the Temps with water cooling. We could see how far we could go here.
water block: Bykski
Radiator Setup: In a closed Case. 1x 420mm x 60mm / 1x 360mm x 30mm /1x 360 x 30mm Xflow
Temperature: for readout HWinfo used
Room temp: 21 C degree.
GPU1: 37.0 C / GPU2: 41.3 C degree / Mem1 38,6 C degree / GPU PWM 38,4 C degree/ GPU Memor Juction Temp: 58.0 C
GPU 1,08V stabel Gaming - 2145 - 2175 Mhz.

Bottom rad is 420mm x 60mm Pusch/Pull with 20mm shroud. intake
Top rad is 360mm x 30mm with an 8mm shroud. out blowing
Side rad is 360mm x 30 mm  intake
But your Temp. is too high.
I had this temp. with air-cooling 67 C.
There is something wrong.
Could you check the water temp. how high is it? Corsair rad is known as good cooling rad.
But unfortunately, the Corsair GPU water block is known as not so good cooling one.
LM is not cooling is only a better contactor. If your cooling block is not able to transfer the heat, then the performance of LM not too much.
- The first you have to check is the water temp.
- if the water temp is between 30 - 35 C and your GPU1 still 65C then
- Check the mounting or connection off your water block GPU. ( some times it is possible to forget during installing the thin plastic foils on the thermal pads !!!)
with two Corsair 360mm rad the water GPU delta shoot be max. 15 to 20 C.

yeah water temp is 30c. fans at 1600, pump at 4k.. pull config. it’s a bykski water block

i was thinking of getting a 55mm  rad and do push and pull on the side. or a 55mm on bottom with just pull

maybe i should check the mounting

The 30-degree water is OK. then your GPU shoot be between 45-50 degree max 55.
Ok, yes the problem is the bykski water block is not well mounted... take care the distance rings are only for 3090. Did you use the thermal pads of Bykski because the thermal pads of EVGA are thick?.
maybe that's why the block doesn't sit well on the GPU.
Good luck.

I didnt use any distance rings. I did do thermal pads on the mosfets above the gpu core diagonally to the left and right. I used bykski thermal pads. I checked the mount and the gpu holders were not tight all the way. i did 4 turns on each screw. now i am at 2100mhz @ 1.063! @ 70c thanks!!!!! do u think i should do anything else because the screws werent tight?

Yes @ 70c playing bf5. maybe thats still kinda high. U think I should take the whole block off and check the gpu paste? I did an X pattern with a decent amount. I cleaned off the gpu core with artic clean 1 & 2. Maybe that was a mistake?

Thanks for the advice, you are a genius! I had those clear rings on the gpu holder that you said was for the 3090. I took them off and checked the paste. Here are the pictures. seems to be a dead spot in the middle so a put a dab there.  Im going to check temps right now.

Then we should change the thermal pads to. Becouse of the ram temp. I can imagen the pads are also one of the cheap fakes

damn i didnt even think about the pads. you are so thoughtful. they are 1.8mm so i might need a squishy 2mm. which ones are you using?

Look around because not all thermal pads should be 1.0mm, there are some parts that require 0.5mm pads. If you are using the same pads for everything then you might have an uneven sit of the block.
In the example photo here, the black thermal pads should be 0.5mm. It's a barrow block but the idea is the same I would think. Look in your block to see what kind of pad you put in those areas(2 places). You may want to swap it to a thinner pad. Cheers.

What have ya'll used to clean off any existing residue from the original thermal pads?  I've been having a hard time trying to get that to come off & I don't want to risk damaging any SMDs or other components near the VRAM chips so I haven't really messed with it much... I was originally trying to use a microfiber cleaning cloth with isopropyl alcohol on it, but that didn't seem to work very well.

Thanks for your advice. The Bykski sent me a strips all the same size, so I used it. I assume they are Arctic pads cuz their blue but they might be fake. The Bykski block doesnt use the black pad on the chokes. Its just open air. They were trying to reduce cold head weight (w/e that means) and the chokes dont get hot like the mosfets. Support said ever since evga messed up with the 1080ti(?) Evga pads on everything now even if not needed.

I have been using Arctic Clean 1 & 2. Its working perfectly. #1 is a orange scented pad, paste removal. #2 is a purifier with flash corrosion properties. #2 cleans up the oil and what not from #1 and makes it perfect for the Kyronaut 😁 https://www.amazon.com/Ar...Purifier/dp/B001JYQ9TM

the temps look ok on memory, just a little higher than core, which i think is normal from what i read, so maybe they are okay pads 🙏

Hi guys. What clear distance rings for the 3090 are you talking about? On my Bykski 3080, I also have a bad pressure to the GPU, judging by the temperature of 60 Celsius.
