I managed to get a 2080 ti XC ultra but will need a skinny card to go sli, was just taking opinions to see if this is possible.

Should since it's the same card, it'll just downclock to the slower card. I think the regular xc has a 2 slot model

If so make the Higher Clock Card the Primary Card in your system and the lower Clocked card as the Secondary or PhysX Card.

Will it not fit because of your motherboard PCIE spacing?
Thinking of going SLI in a Meshify C with Asus Maximus Hero X with the 2.7 slot cards but not sure if it will fit

Will not fit Who's Motherboard? Yours should work fine. Looks like it will work fine on Asus Maximus Hero X Motherboard, your case may or may not be an issue. I would only run on this MB with a Custom Water Loop. (Not a Hybrid Cooler)

I see why some ppl go water block to make sli easier and cooler hehe.

I just ordered another xc ultra, I think ill only be able to get 16x/8x since i use a m.2 though :(

My old 6900k cpu or motherboard gave out on me so i have to get a smaller cpu and motherboard with less pci-e slots☹, I have a 3 slot bridge setup with 2 120mm fans blowing between the 2 gpus for extra cooling. My xc ultra cards go just over 1800 mhz @70c in mass effect Andromeda and shadow of the tomb raider.

Water cooling is great for 24/7 Folding project - for the Greater Good
Watercooling can be a huge pain in the butt during both filling and draining depending on how you built the loop. Imo building an aio-ish loop is the best of both world (something like EK has) but it will cost you quite a bit of money as if i recall only aquatuning is supplying radiators with integrated d5 pumps.

It would have been 16x/8x if my old x99 deluxe 2 mobo and 6900k was working.
