I think is has to do with entitlement. People with gaming systems as kids are typically not "poor" by the global definition of the term. Maybe by the US definition of the term they could be but the US has a very warped sense of poverty.

I don't necessarily agree. I grew up very poor. My mom had to work multiple jobs and still couldn't afford to pay all bills every month. However, the one present I got each Christmas was the new console that came out... Some years with no games! 🤣🤣🤣

It's not just gamers, there are people who work with a computer, I deal with video editing, I do not deal with games at all.
There is no reason to buy something from EVGA again. Greek souvlaki I do not know English I translate with Google .... Sorry.

I felt I was the ONLY kid in the United States to not have a NES in the 80s. I asked for a NES from 85 to 89 for each X-Mas and birthday, it never came, my parents didn't pull the trigger. We were not poor, but there were some thin years. . My younger brother, however, when my parents had more money, got every single system without even asking. He is very entitled and could give a crap about video games, I habitually buy new systems and games as an adult. I have been mostly self-sufficient since my early 20s, and definitely since 25... he is just now becoming independent of my parents in his mid-30s. I think johcamp21 has a pretty valid point.

4790K When we already got one Card are we elegible for another 2 Cards for Friends and Family or just another 1 Card with the new system in place? @jacobF
However many cards you purchased prior to October 4th is irrelevant - whether you purchased 20 or zero, it does not matter. After October 4th, you get limited to buying 2 cards (3000 series cards) and after that you go on 'low priority', which means anyone else who is in the queue that has not purchased 2 cards since October 4th will have priority over you on any queue you may be in, even if you've been in that queue for 6 months and they only joined that queue yesterday. Whether you are buying cards for yourself or family or friends is completely irrelevant, it's based solely on purchases under your EVGA account. One exception - if you already purchased a specific card even prior to October 4th, if you try to purchase the exact same SKU, I believe you will be on low priority for that one, regardless of how many other cards you have or have not puchased. If you have more than 2 cards on notify, EVGA will only look at the 2 oldest (longest in queue), any others will be low priority. EVGA have suggested you delete any notifies in excess of 2, and also suggest that you probably have a better chance at Ultra models, but not hybrids or hydrocoppers. You can view your notify list here: https://www.evga.com/community/myNotifies.asp ..or for EU people: https://eu.evga.com/community/myNotifies.asp

RakeStriver Suppose I have two different GPUs set to notify me when they come in stock on the EVGA website. The first one gives me a notification that I can purchase it now. If I decide to not buy that one, will the EVGA system kick me lower in priority for the second card since I've gotten a notification for the first card already, or does it not matter since both cards have different SKUs?
Similarly, if I do decide to buy the first card will the EVGA system kick me lower in priority for the second card since I've gotten a notification for the first card already, or does it not matter since both cards have different SKUs?
You don't get lowered priority unless you've managed to buy 2 cards already (after October 4th), or you've already purchased that specific SKU previously (then it's instant lower priority for that SKU). It only counts if you make a purchase, not if you decide not to buy a card that you've been offered.
I don't think that is quite right. The two queue limitation starts today/tomorrow (depending on when EVGA locks the two retained queues down), not on October 4. From what I have read from EVGA, it is my understanding that if you keep more than two registrations, the registrations other than the two "oldest" registrations will not be honored, full stop. In a given SKU's queue, after all of the two retained registrations are serviced by EVGA, assuming that more units are -- at that point -- being produced, EVGA would relight the queue "auto-notify" button for new registrations. Again, I don't think registrations #3 and higher will be deprioritized; I think they will be ignored. StickML When will we see the results of the automatic pruning? Are post-prune notifies going out right now, or is there set windows when EVGA sends them each day? The jumps on Friday were super encouraging, and I'm really hopeful that those waiting for lower-end (and, incidentally, "newer") cards might see a lot more movement this week. I'm no scalper. I'm no miner. I'm a simple man with simple needs. Right now I simply need a notify for a 3657 (6/3/2021 7:27:04 PM PT) to come in so I can safely cancel the $620 PNY Single-Fan 3060 I snagged during BB's random online drop before it arrives for pickup this Thursday.
I think the practical effect of the two queue pruning won't be seen immediately, but that in a week or two, we will start to see the most popular queues begin to pick up speed through the timeline with each drop. Another -- intended by EVGA -- side effect of the pruning is that EVGA is now getting forecast information. Whether induced into retaining the Ultra SKU queues or not, folks' retention of those queues allows EVGA to do some better manufacturing planning re which cards to produce. That, too, should provide some increase in volumes to the most popular retained queues...again over time (not an immediate change). -j-o-n-n-y- Got my notification for the 3080ti this morning and just ordered the card, nice to see the EU queue moving again, good work EVGA! 12G-P5-3967-KR6/3/2021 8:41:59 AM PTYes

Again, I don't think October 4 is the date. As I read EVGA_JacobF's posts -- and just thinking logically about how they've rolled out this pruning process -- the date is October 11/12 (depending on when they lock the two queues down, the restriction will start with either today's drop (if any) or tomorrow's drop. I don't believe there is a low priority aspect to the new, revised rules (Queue 2.1). It is two registrations, full stop. After a SKU's queue has been serviced (i.e., all of the "two retained registrations" have been filled for that SKU), I expect EVGA to relight the "auto-notify" button for that SKU (assuming they are still making additional units of that SKU at that time).

I tried it with 3657, and even EVGA sent notification email for second card it send not allow to purchase it.

I hope everybody had a good weekend. Ours was decent. enewt jr. and I got in some good Valheim work. Her -- even more ancient laptop than mine -- doesn't render at a very good distance, so we set up next to each other so she could crib off of my screen when necessary to see where the mobs were coming from. At times a difficult experience, but -- let's be honest -- any gaming with your offspring that doesn't involve Roblox, Minecraft or Fortnite is a fantastic experience (at least in my book). (I cannot wait to assist Sid in getting his Civilization hooks in her...hell, it's how I learned to love world history.) So, depending on when EVGA locks down the "no more than two queue registrations" limitation (they did not specify a time, just a day), from that point onfrom now on...just the two registrations are operative (and therefore folks will be limited to no more than two 30 series from the queues (b-stock is not subject to this limitation as it is not part of the queue). For any given SKU, once all of the remain operative registrations have been serviced by EVGA (i.e., EVGA has sent them "invite to purchase" emails for the applicable SKU), it is then -- to the extent that SKU is still being manufactured at that point -- that such SKU's auto-notify button will relight and additional registrations for that queue allowed. To be honest, I doubt that many 30 series SKUs will reopen for additional registrations (I hope I am wrong). Regardless, it is Monday. There were significant drops on Friday so we may get some decent straggler volume today. Tempering that knowledge, however, is the open question of whether EVGA holds off on drops today so as to cleanly "lock" the two queue limitation in place today (so that there is no question about whether a drop today counts against the cap or doesn't). I will ask for some clarity from EVGA on the actual lockdown timing and update this should I get any official news. Update (per EVGA): The “My Notifies” page has already been updated. For anyone who has 3 or more registrations, the page will be updated to show active/inactive registrations. (enewt note: if anybody has three or more registrations, I would be curious to see how it looks on the MyNotifies page...if you have time time, please post a screenshot.) Best of luck today! Yes I see the October 11 date on there, although the queues were closed October 4th so it really makes no difference now except for that 2 card limit is effective from today instead of last Monday - very few people are going to be impacted by that difference - only the handful of people who received their notify email last week, nobody else. Registrations #3 and higher will be ignored yes. If EVGA ever completely catch up, I would think they will have to reconsider that though - if there's stock sitting there that nobody is in queue for, it seems unlikely they will turn someone down at that point if they want to buy it. Although I don't see that happening any time soon. Likely we'll see the 4000 series release before then.

Nice... good catch. A great idea for people who messed up. Give us a window of opportunity to make corrections.

Interesting. What happens if you re-add after the queue has passed you? I would imagine you are just out of luck with that one...much like the opt-out post queue passing your timestamp.

My notify page is updated with a new column "Active", True or False. Still no UNDO button.

I build large scale eCommerce websites..it's often really difficult to troubleshoot a live site when you're adding new features...I'm sure they have a beta site but implementing new features to millions of users all at once, you are bound to have a bunch of people reporting bugs that don't pop up on a smaller sample of users

No worries, I don't plan to change my mind. Just find it interesting. Fun to watch the live rollout.
