I see it as just another chance for me maybe get lucky and get a GPU in a reasonable amount of time. Its going to cost me more than I expected/wanted to pay for sure but I'll try anyway and there's always the 3070ti coming along as well and that would do just fine too. A stock 3080ti not worth the excitement. A $1339 to $1399 AIB 3080 Ti that performs better than a 3090 FE for cheaper is worth to me. Then again just being able to get a card is worth. Some of us are still rocking an equivalent of a RX580 in 2021...

I love the smell of hope-against-all-odds in the morning!
Yesterday was an amazing day on the forum here, legit posts being flagged as spam, actual spam flooding in, old vets and come-latelys sharing in confusion over times zones and well-documented processes.
Enewt, you continue to post some of the most insightful and funny stuff after, what, 9+ months now... I cannot wait to see the day you turn those well-earned bucks into the card you want. Keep doing enewt.
I have officially decided to hang up my queueing for this gen. It's been a wild ride since September. Going to retire with the pride of helping near 20 gamers (and at least one dirty sneaky lying miner) directly get their cards and join the elusive 30-series club. This is mostly because, after countless hours of monitoring forums, hounding drops, and helping people for the sake of helping them (and the "thrill of the hunt"), the last 2 people I have attempted to help have been a disaster...
From a miner in gamer's clothing, who begged for a card to upgrade his rig... then had the fortune of me scoring a $699 Best Buy FE 3080, which I sold to him at cost, only to turn around and brag about mining to coworkers in front of me after I specifically told him "lie to me if you choose to profit from this card".
To a guy who I felt bad for because he was without a card for months, only to be stood up and ignored when it came time to buy. Maybe the excuse is legit, maybe it is not, but I don't know and I am tired of wasting brain cycles caring if it is... When the thrill and the fun is outweighed by the frustration with people and their greed, I am out.

I see your point. I am also working on old card... Price jumped approx. 100% for Ti models from 2017 to 2021...  I used to pay up to 500 $ for a card, usually used one and in good condition. But those times are gone, at least for now.....

you will not get a que spot if you use the us page make sure you use eu if your located in the eu

The queues are separate for US and EU. To buy from US you need to have a friend in US to order using their address and payment info.

That's insane and I can relate - long ago I decided if I try to help someone out, and they invariable lie or take advantage of me, the karma is on them - not me. Nonetheless, it always baffles my mind how someone would essentially "sell their soul" for something like a GPU or a couple hundred bucks that they, "swear they'll pay me back next week", never to be heard from again. Sheesh, I managed to snag a 3060 XC Gaming (bought it so quickly I didn't realize till 5 minutes later it wasn't the Ti), while it's an OK card, it's not much of an upgrade from my 2060 KO, bit better performance but the thermals are far superior. I'm in the "notify" lists for various 3070/3080's, will get on the list for the 3080 ti and 3070 ti, but when the card I'm looking for comes in, my son has a couple of friends that desperately need a card, and I've promised him he can gift the 2060 KO card to one of his buddies, or charge less than what I paid for it (it's approx 8 months old). I collect antique straight razors, belong to a forum where we all exchange info etc., newbies show up all the time, say they can't find or afford a "shave ready" straight razor, an old member will send them a small kit (leather strop, shave ready straight razor, badger brush), and once in awhile, there's always gotta be "that guy", "that dick", and sure enough, he'll see the kit he sent the guy on eBay for sale, without even a word or note to the guy who sent it to them. Yup, sell your soul, lie, cheat for not even $1,000, really makes you shake your head how low some people will stoop and how character defective they are. Did their parents raise them to be slimeballs? But it's nice to hear there are still people who try to help out, regardless of how jaded we occasionally get! Thanks, nice story, take care.

Thanks for the support, I figure rat people likely had rat parents, but man, still surprises me after 40+ years on this planet. One last quick story before work, my dad sold our travel trailer to our new neighbor for a very good deal. The guy was a young father with a wife and 2 little kids, my dad figured it was a great thing to do, since he knew the struggle of starting out. The neighbor within 2 weeks had a For Sale sign on it, literally with the tires on our property line for over double what my dad sold it to him for... My dad and his relationship with that neighbor were never the same. People should (although they won't) ask themselves, which person are you in this story? There is a difference between what you can do and what you ought to...
