Ooh. Wonder how long that introductory price is gonna stay up until EVGA starts charging $1399.

I'm amazed they're actually waiting for tomorrow to open the product pages and reveal the prices... As if this wasn't already leaving a bad taste.

I wonder whether they think this might help foil bots...giving them less time to grok the system....

Has anyone manage to get a link straight to the notify me. To make it faster. I used it last time and it was so quick. Servers get over loaded. And those links really help.

EVGA disabled that functionality from what we can tell. No direct links this time around (unless somebody smarter than me (entirely possible if not highly probable) has figured it out). viper809 I’m going to bed now. To be up. I saw on Best Buy that they were claiming exclusive distribution of the FE...not sure if that is meat space exclusive or exclusive....

I doubt it would take the bots any more time than the humans. Humans would be feeding those bots the information on where to go anyhow. I also don't believe any of these retailers really care whether products are going to bots or end-consumers.

They don't. They're making the most money they've ever made. Everything they make is sold instantly.

When you say direct link to notify me, is that the little window that pops up where you put in your name and email address?

Yes, we used to create a direct link to that pop-up that bypassed having to F5 the product page until the auto-notify button appeared. EVGA has apparently made that not possible for this launch. As far as I can tell, we all have to F5 the product page this time.

EVGA cares. I have been dealing with this company for years. Anyone accusing EVGA of not caring about their customers has no clue what kind of company EVGA is, or what kind of people they have working for them. They are enthusiasts and gamers that work there and know exactly what we are all going through. They literally don't need to do this for PR, per your OWN WORDS. "Everything they make is sold instantly." So why bother with the queue? Why spend time individually responding and re-sending a queue email with an individualized buy link to a customer who has missed their window by a few hours? Why charge LESS than every single other AIB for their cards, when their build quality is at least equally as good across each pricing tier? They don't need the PR. They could hike up prices like MSI and PowerColor (AMD) and every single card would still sell INSTANTLY. The answer is because they DO care. I recently had an interaction with EVGA over the phone. In this situation, they were well within the terms and conditions to keep the money we were discussing on something I had purchased. I explained to them my situation, and the rep helped me out when he 100% didn't have to. Even Best Buy with their anti-bot system cares - not as much as EVGA, perhaps, but they don't have to do any kind of system at all. Every week they do a restock, I see actual humans on forums here, at Hard Forums, on Discord, and even Reddit that are able to purchase a graphics card from Best Buy. I was able to purchase a hotly sought-after 5900X, and I've had it for MONTHS, all thanks to Best Buy's efforts to at least have something to give humans a fighting chance to beat the bots. They have no reason to care, except that they actually care. Period. I worked for Best Buy for seven years. I am still in frequent contact with several individuals on various tiers of Best Buy's "food chain", so to speak. They have plenty of employees that care about their customers. Sure, not all do, but many, do. As to other retailers, I can't speak quite as firmly, but even Newegg and Amazon have been helpful on other orders I've made over the last two years or so. What is your actual evidence that "they don't care"?

That's cool. Levels the playing field (a bit), I guess. During the 3070 launch, I basically was just guessing the URL to the product page and just copy pasted that until it went up. I remember they also did a test/dry run of the product page a full 24 hours before launch day. I managed to squeeze in a sign up for the 3070 XC3 Black before they took the page down a few minutes later.

Apologies I was referring to Nvidia. I wasn't trying to diss EVGA, I defend them, as I have multiple cards registered under them and they've been nothing but great to me since my 1080 ti. I was meaning more towards Nvidia scalping their customers recently. Nvidia: Record revenue of $5.66 billion, up 84 percent from a year earlier.

ReconFX Any info on price yet?
Edit: for the 3080 Ti FTW3 Ultra
Safe bet is between $1,350 to $1,390. But I'm guesstimating it'll probably land at $1,389.99.
$1339 for a cool little introductory deal with a mouse included and post intro deal $1399. This was from the Jayz2cents 3080ti vid where the price was clarified to him by EVGA reps.

What happens if the website crashes due to heavy traffic? Is the launch just delayed or does it continue while some people can't even get on the website?
