I just got off this call. It's a trauma group geared towards veterans. By the way, I definitely over share at times. What's so interesting to me though is that this kind of weird trauma has spread across the nation. I know some parts of the country have not been hit so hard, and haven't had their lives changed too much. Yet so many people have. I would ask that first, people realize if they are in the first few hours of a card launch, there is not one card per second. It is way more than that. Two. Realize that as frustrating as it may be, and if you want to complain, absolutely share your voice. But EVGA has been more pro-consumer than anything else I've seen. I know some queues don't illustrate that, so if that is frustrating you, share it. Just don't say it's one card a second. The last. Good luck today. Stacking positive moments is the most important thing we can do. Sometimes just wishing other people well can count as a positive moment.

gary1221 Total frigging bull!3080 hybrid finally moves after 6 weeks but moves only 46 seconds? So I guess EVGA manages to get 46 cards to gamers in 6 weeks but their cards are being run into China by smugglers in boats ,EBAY runs fresh ads of same card at 3 times price and of course the miners can get them in bulk but gamers get 46 seconds of production huh??????Pump finally gave out on 1080ti hybrid and of course EVGA does not have spare pumps 2080Ti pumps not compatible so basically just screwed!EVGA management is corrupt as all hell selling to miners and scalpers for above MSRP in bulk and just screw the gamers that made their company!!!!!
They are not corrupt. It's just called a free market economy, and it's not always very convenient for everyone. Why shouldn't someone sell their goods to the best bidder? Besides, anyone is free to sell their 3 year old used GTX1060 6G for 100 bucks. But look at Ebay, people have no qualms about asking for more than the original price for a used card. We're all in on the madness, aren't we? I'm pretty frustrated too, and I suppose before I can ever buy a rtx 3070 or rtx 3080, the year 2022 will roll in and the rtx 4000 generation will already be waiting in the wings. But there's no one I'd want to blame personally for the current plight.
the old tried and true well everyone else is doing it...lol i feel like im back in grade school.i remember telling my mom that she slapped me across the back of my head.

The first time you posted it, I thought it was a sheet of toilet paper...now it looks like a towel to me...I need caffeine.
At the first Covid Lockdown last year here in Austria/EU, toilet paper was in short supply ... no idea why people should hoard toilet paper, but we already joked about whether people might also boil it at home, deep-fry it or turn it into lasagna. In that sense, if it had been a sheet of toilet paper, this mascot could almost be called a symbol of prosperity. We live in crazy times...

so, is the general consensus around here is that the 3080 FTW3 Ultra will NOT restock (or maybe very minimally restock), and instead the 3080 Ti will release to take its place? if that is the case, the people in line for the 3080 who will never get a card should be automatically inserted at the front of the 3080 Ti queue whenever it starts, and given the option to either accept it, or decline and keep their place in the 3080 queue line with the hope that more come at a later date. if they will no longer sell 3080 at all, then the 3080 queue should DEFINITELY just move to the 3080 Ti queue, and people can decide to buy one or not (since it will cost more than the 3080). i would certainly rather buy a 3080 Ti instead of the 3080, but some people might not have the money for one. i'm under 7 hours away from a 3080, but they seem to be very limited in supply from EVGA in the past couple weeks, with the queue line moving very slowly, if at all. if the Ti was available now, i would certainly buy that instead, but damn, these queues are killing me. it's crazy that the latest GPU hardware has come to this. they are making bank, and normal people who want these cards are just **** out of luck. hurry up and wait, and wait some more, and wait even more. and then wait some more in a new line for a card you will never get, because the line you were waiting in just closed. seems fair... for real, this whole situation is a mess, and miners, scalpers, backdoor business deals, all of it screws the typical customers like us. we shouldn't have to work this hard to spend almost $1000, or over $1000. that is a LOT of money to spend on a single item, and i feel for the people who save all their hard earned money for something they want, and end up getting screwed like this. the demand is only as high as it is because of miners and scalpers. it's unfortunate for the normal people who just want to game with their badass PCs. also, for the record, i have come to dislike Linus. TechLinked/TechNews is the best, but Linus has become a pompous douche. i liked him when he was about being informative and at least sort of nice, if not demanding, but now he seems like all of the attention has gone to his head, like he can call out company owners or affect markets like Elon Musk or something. Musk is also a giant Turd Sandwich too. they both have good ideas, but their people skills are the worst, and out of touch AT BEST. and the LTT Store real gamers thing, yeah, the queues immediately fill up, just the 3080 Ti queue will when it becomes available, and it'll be 2024 before i upgrade my GPU again. Rant over

It is, or should be, a classic. The ideation that keeping it simple makes life easier. The notion that government can screw things up. The idea that if you decide to put yourself forward, you'll probably get tortured for it and have your credit ruined. These are the great things you can speculate on if you can kind of grasp the nature of humans.

To be honest, I haven't looked at what is required for Elite status...I know that they just added "watching Twitch and spending some kind of Twitch Points generated by watching" (my paraphrase). Registering a product will do it, but I am not sure what the price floor is, whether there is one, etc. Sorry I cannot help...others might have a better idea. zackcline @enewt, the auto notify link you specified for the hydro copper, what page will that go to when notifies are live? Yes, I think so. The product page will have the auto-notify button at around 10 am. You will need to get the server to load that product page and then click on the auto-notify button and have the server load that page, or you can skip the first step via the auto-notify link...in the past, it has proven to be a faster route. Others may have a different opinion, but it would be the way I would go.

Micron has their own Fabs for memory etc, they onw a few in Singapore, Taiwan, one in China & one in Japan. They also used to own one in Utah (US) but that was exclusively making Optane for Intel, and since that partnership has fallen apart, they sold it/it is currently up for sale (not sure which). SK Hynix also makes most of their own stuff both in the DRAM & NAND Flash space (at their own Fabs, that is), and of course, Samsung makes their own stuff as well. The fab in Utah is still running as high of production as ever. I have a couple buddies that work there and say that it has not slowed at all. Whatever it is they are making could be completely different, but they are running like mad according to them. As for it being up for sale, I doubt it, as US really wants to get into their own chip production it would seem from the recent events and the rumored souring of US/China relations.

Lol my local computer store has several 30 series cards selling above MSRP. Just thought I'd come here and gather at least three out of five positive responses to this question, so that I can go ahead and make that leap to purchase it lmao.
