I put in the Xeon L5639 and it didn't work. So is the X5650 different so it won't work in the 1.1 board?
    Thanks.

Sorry, you are right, I have the E758.  So I guess it has to be modded.  I just really wonder exactly what is the mod about?  Move the resistor from R358 to R359?  Do we just short the R359?  Or could we just get a small resistor and put it into R359 and it will work?  I just need detail clarification on what exactly to do.
    Thanks.

I think the W xeons are only quad cores and not 6 cores, thus not much improvement over my current i7 920 right?
Where did you find the video at?
    Thanks.

The W processors are way more expensive.

I know this is old but I couldn't find the answer. Yes the EVGA ftw3 rev 1.1 supports Xeon out of the box. Mine runs the Xeon x5675 with no mods. I ended up just checking it because I got so many different opinions. Yes it works perfect. You can find your rev number on the corner of the bottom left hand side of the motherboard.

Btw- the x5675 still runs the lastest games at full performance no matter what people tell you... Modern games use 6 cores unlike in the past so this cpu has new life... It performs as well as my 4690k lol...

In my personal opinion Intel's X58 chipset was one of their best. It's fun to see so many people still enjoying the hardware.

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X,  Corsair Mp700 Pro M.2, 64GB Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5  X670E Steel Legend, MSI RTX 4090 Associate Code: H5U80QBH6BH0AXF. I am NOT an employee of EVGA
