I still would like to know if you guys think these dual boards will load the CPU cores up properly.

It comes down to the program your using, When I render Videos on my computer at work that has two 3.2Ghz xeons(Socket 771) with 16Gb of RAM(see geral discussion for Work computer fail) anyways, Adobe permire elements used 95~98% of all 8 of the cores when rendering a 30min video.

Dual CPU motherboards are awsome, you just need to have the programs to fully utilize them.

Same here Talonman. I could totally utilize 2 x 6 core cpus for rendering but the above post you quote could be taken as a worry. Currently when I render every single bit of the cpu gets used (sometimes crashes lol) so I would expect the same on this board in order to justify.

ZachA...that sounds promising :D

T'was once a beast :)

Thanks for the post. The 'Build 1' shot lets you see exactly how big of a mobo we are talking about.

Still thinking 'Workstation' might be the way to go instead of case?

FYI - I did get further conformation from the XS boys too...

Dual CPU'ed mobo's will give extra performance, providing the app is well made:
