In this thread we will post tools for Z390 DARK OC, like software, BIOS and other bits and pieces to make get good OC results.

EVGA Z390 DARK Technical Guide
It's not an OC guide, so if you want specific overclocking related hints - feel free to post in this forum section to summon Vince for it :)

  • OC Software

ELEET Basic 11/28 - Z390 - Updated 11/24
ELEET Basic 12/05 - Z390 - No WMI dependency, supports WinXP

ELEET Lite version, with all non-related to OC stuff removed, so it loads bare minimum to do realtime settings adjustments.

This is not a setup package, so you must unpack the program into folder, and run by executing ELeetX_x64.exe (or ELeetX for 32-bit OS). Make sure WinRing0 and FlashTool folders are present in same location, or program will not run.

when you get the chance, can you explain VRM voltages and how they help.   seems they range from 300-1000 and default is 500 khz.

Sure, that will be separate thread about Vdroop and VRM basics, as it apply for all motherboards, not just Z390 Dark.

I would echo Snipes7 question.  E-leet for the X299 Dark freezes windows when any change on the voltage tab is applied or when saving or loading a profile.  This happens when the DRAM profile needs a high voltage of 1.40v or more, including XMP profiles.  DRAM profile that needs 1.35v or less does not suffer the freezing. Does E-leet briefly drop DRAM voltage in the process of changing other voltages?

the voltage slider does not work. it's not set to what is set in bios, and any change on it results in a instant freeze.

danteafk:  That freezing happens with version 6.0.0 when changing any voltage while the memory profile needs more than 1.40 Vdimm.  It also happens when trying to save or load a profile.  Response to this bug on the X299 Dark is the only time I've been disappointed in EVGA customer service.

The two E-leet versions in the OP are version 6.0.1 and 6.0.2 respectively.  I use 6.0.2 in Windows 7 and 10.  No freezing, but then no profile saving or loading either and the list of adjustable voltages is quite limited.  Try it.

Can you share your BIOS screenshot with all voltages, and then what voltage you trying to change in OS that cause freeze?
Standard ELEET versions are kinda broken :(

my bios settings: https://imgur.com/gallery/JEyAZND
What I try to change in eleet tool: https://abload.de/img/capture4sjg7.jpg (would be cool if this tool could have the same functionality (and working) as asus turboVcore)

the tab does not even show the current vcore that is set by default

As of today the voltages tab only shows vcore and vdimm now, it used to show much more like sa/io etc - I did no changes

if you change only vdim eleet set 1v to your cpu so it's freez system . if you change the two voltage in eleet it works without problem

Dark z390 Out of the box - Very impressed 9900k Went right to 5.4 without issue, Bdie to 4400 no issue. Tighter auto timings and no nonsense. The Dark is leaps and bounds better than the GB Z390 Aorus Master. Consider it retired and its going on the wall of shame.
Love the Dark and regret not getting onboard at release. GJ GJ GJ
