Do evga Z370 motherboards have any kind of RGB support, either for the regular 5050 12V led strips or maybe these new WS2812B strips? Or EVGA took a more conservative and minimalistic approach on motherboard design?

Doesn't look like it. I have been disappointed with their recent releases. I was an Abit man back in the late 90s and early 2000s. When they went under, I tried an Asus Striker Extreme II and it gave me nothing but trouble. A friend of mine and I were building nearly identical systems other then the mainboards. I had the Asus and he had the eVGA 790i Ultra. needless to say, I tossed the Asus in the trash and bought the same EVGA board as my friend. I have used EVGA since then up until the z370. Plain jane, no RGB support, WF or B/T. I decided to give Asus another try and the Maximus X is running flawlessly. 8700K is 5ghz stable and I haven't even pushed it yet.

And I plan to install RGB Light in new case. But I will not buy RGB Fans or use motherboard connectors.
I afraid if something happen maybe could fry my motherboard faster only.
But Cablemod have some nice options and Magnetic RGB LED Strips with controller.
    2x 30cm and 2x 60cm. For my needs are 2x30cm enough.
RGB will be independent from system.  Their controller have different options and mods for lightning.
I have Rampage V Extreme that was motherboard before RGB become attractive and I can't say that miss me.

Actually the Z370 Classified K also includes RGB inside the I/O Cover. No images of yet showing the effect though.

"Other features include the built-in RGB I/O cover, which synchronizes with the RGB headers on the motherboard." Source:&nbsp
