So I have had a Z20 for about a year 1/2 now and I have used the RMA on it. My first keyboard after afew months started randomly shutting off. I kept the keyboard and after awhile it got to the point where I couldnt use it. I used the RMA, got another and out of the box the replacement had this same problem. Here we are now and its time to once again use the RMA for another keyboard that is hopefully functioning properly. Anyone else have this issue and has EVGA made any changes to fix this?

Dear Darkzero3802, Welcome to the forums! I can confirm that I looked into your RMA history, and I see that your last keyboard as well as the one sent to you had the older firmware versions. Can you please try installing the below EVGA Unleash RGB software and seeing if it has a firmware update for your keyboard available? https://www.evga.com/EVGA/GeneralDownloading.aspx?file=EVGA_UnleashRGB_1.0.25.0.zip If you find that this was already done, then can you please try unplugging any USB devices from the keyboard and see if this helps? We are here to help you with further troubleshooting at Support@EVGA.com . Darkzero3802 So I have had a Z20 for about a year 1/2 now and I have used the RMA on it. I have had the unleash software since day 1 of the orig keyboard and that last one showed it up to date prior to the RMA. For the keyboard now unleash shows up to date version 1.38

I wish my keyboard was the same way. But when im typing on it it randomly shuts off and the windows disconnect occurs. Sometimes it turns on on its own and other time I manually have to fully unplug it and plug it back in to get it to work

Did you read though the threads from the links I provided above? Your issue's sound similar to some of the posts in those threads.

Have you looked at motherboard driver updates or trying to reinstall the drivers from the motherboard website. Sometimes I have had issue with windows update deciding a driver is "better" and causes issues.

Sounds like what's talked about in this thread possibly. The whole disconnecting/connecting thing. https://forums.evga.com/Z20-issues-m3614887.aspx

Ive been through afew diff USB slots and it does the same thing. It feels snug in the slot compared to my X17 mouse and these are 3.0 slots. I think im going to RMA this again and see if the replacement is actually a good one or not. The 3 strikes your out rule. If this one does the same thing its a poor quality keyboard. Which is a shame as historically EVGA has had quality products and for 2 decades + I have always made sure my graphics card was EVGA as I never had a problem.

Yeah, sounds like you've tried everything. Time to RMA like you said. G/L and hopefully you get a good working keyboard this time. Maybe you could let us know how it all turns out.
