They appear just my two graphics cards. One by 16x@3.0, other at 16x@1.0.

What about Windows Device Manager, does it show up there? Some of my Windows components were re-installed by 8.1 when I 1st booted up, perhaps it just needs the drivers installed again.

That is me in the picture, anyone else ever pet a live Lion?

Have you tried a different slot?

No, but with BIOS 0.47 works perfectly. It should not be a problem the slot used.

Try looking at the IOH config under the Advanced tab, maybe set that slot to 1x.

Also the latest version of Intel Burn test is not comparable to the old one, look at my results:

I am having problems as well. I have to hit the reset button on my computer at least 15 times before the machine will load. 99% of the time it will not get the point where it gets to the Marvell controller BIOS and gets stuck at the X79 FTW graphic. I looked at the code on the motherboard and it seems to get stuck consistently at one of the steps in Southbridge initialization. Sometimes it gets to a point where even after 10 resets it'll get stuck and I have to completely reset the BIOS. When Windows loads, the machine runs faster then ever, but this has got to the best most painful BIOS I've dealt with.

Was this BIOS tested with multiple CPUs? I have a hunch it has something to do with Sandy Bridge-E 3820 I'm using. The 047 BIOS was stuck at 50% usage on one of the 8 threads when hyperthreading is on.

EVGA, please test this BIOS on the 3820 CPU. I have a hunch you'll see the same issues.

I really want to upgrade to an Ivy Bridge-E processor, but I refuse to do so until I'm sure that this BIOS is stable. I'm tired of throwing money at parts earlier then I normally would in hopes of fixing a problem.

I appear to be having the same problem, also running the X79 FTW with a 3820.
Screen just goes black after the X79 FTW logo.
The LED display gets stuck at code 62.

Had to go through 2 RMA's just to get this setup going back when they was on the first revision of the X79's.
Was hoping this update would resolve the various problems the board has had since release, guess I will have to continue to wait.

EVGA please fix the compatibility with 3820 cpus.

My 3820 runs well with this or the 45 Bios. It's most likely a b2 code and not a 62 code, which is Video Bios initialization.

I did have that problem when I flashed a faster bios into my Evga 460GTX which I use for dedicated Phys-X and it was always stuck at b2. Put my other 460 in and the problem went away. Funny, just stuck that modded card in my old Asus ROG Striker II Extreme and it works just fine. This Bios may be sensitive to Oced video cards.

Good to know that a 3820 should work with this bios.
I have 2 GTX 580 3GB cards, both stock clock settings (also not factory OC'd) and both with original firmware.
I guess I need to strip components out of the system and try to narrow down the problem, then hopefully it's something that can be fixed.
