about to overclock my X58 with an i7 920. Great guide but the screenshots are long gone. I was curious if anyone has links to the screenshots and if not, could provide fan speed settings and anything else important that was only in the screenshots. Thank you!

Been trying to OC on my FTW3 for a while now, first tried with an i7 950 and now have a Xeon X5650, but I can't get higher than a BCLK of only 150 before it crashes

System:
FTW3 X58
Xeon X5650 (overkill levels of watercooling, used to be CPU + GPU sli, now just CPU with the same radiators)
Corsair Vengeance 1600CL9 (4x4GB)
2x Asus GTX 780 DC2OC
I also have some fans pointing directly at the motherboard to keep the northbridge and vregs cool

CPU-Z info

I'm not trying to get the best possible outcome or have the most efficient voltages.. I just want everything safe and stable, but to get somewhat near 4Ghz, and many results from google show people getting upwards of 4.5Ghz
Is it possible I just have a dud board, or have I missed something simple?

if you're still there, I recommend you find a guide called "3 Step Overclocking Guide – Bloomfield and Gulftown" and follow it.

I have your motherboard, a Xeon X5675, a GTX 970, and also 4x4GB RAM, and I am running at 4.4GHz stable (survived 3 passes of Intel Burn Test at Maximum, and also different benchmarks)

4.4GHz is achieved with a BCLK of 177 (multiplier is x25 for my Xeon with Turbo active)

Greetings.

It just so happens that I'm still using my X58 SLI LE and i7 920. The information in the OP seems sufficient for overclocking with the exception of missing screenshots. It would be great if anyone could clue me in as to whether it seems like they would be necessary or not...

EDIT: I see my question was answered just a few posts above. Wonderful. Nevermind this post then.

Ok so I was given an older motherboard from a friend for Christmas. Beings I used to do tech support for another company when this board came out (132-gt-e768-tr) I go about upgrading the bios, getting all the drivers, purchasing a serious processor and AIO cooler for it. Now when I go to download the ELEET tuning software for it I see several other boards but no listing for this board YET I see underneath that the board is supposed to be supported ummm what am I missing??! is there some hidden link I have to be diligent enough a detective to find??

doesnt look like the x58 is there anymore, but it is 13 years old. im sure someone here on this site has access to it.

Interestingly enough, once I stuffed a Xeon 5650 in it, fixed the bios and installed win 10 on an SSD it actually runs the Steam version of Fallout 4 GOTY w no overclocking. On a single discrete ZOTAC Nvidia 1030 GT even. I haven't toyed much w all the "eye candy" video settings yet but it has zero lag, and the game is on a mech drive.

Even after 12 years the X58 chipset and CPUs still rock.

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X,  Corsair Mp700 Pro M.2, 64GB Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5  X670E Steel Legend, MSI RTX 4090 Associate Code: H5U80QBH6BH0AXF. I am NOT an employee of EVGA

I know this s a old post but its still on the servers, but oddly not listed on the eleet page

Given the age of the motherboard I would surmise that any supported software is end of life. I'm surprised the download is still there.

Still running a Dual Xeon build with my Classified SR-2 board with windows 10. Running two X5690's with 48gb of 1333 ecc ram and a Titan X (maxwell). Incorporated four M.2 drives in the extra pci slots. Still kicking butt and play anything I want.
