BIOS updating can be accomplished VIA the below methods: CD/DVD Installation - Recommended installation method- Download the correct .iso file below for your motherboard:
132-GT-E768-KR/TR - EVGA X58 FTW3- Use a CD Burning software to burn the .iso image onto a blank CD (Nero, Alochol 120%, MagicISO etc.)
- After it has burned, insert CD and restart the machine, go into the BIOS and load defaults, save and exit
- Now set the CD Drive as the primary boot device, or press escape while the system is booting to select CD as the bootable device.
- After flash remove the CD, and power off PC Completely.
- Turn on the PC and load defaults in BIOS
USB FLOPPY Installation - Recommended installation method - Download the correct .exe file below for your motherboard:
132-GT-E768-KR/TR - EVGA X58 FTW3- Insert blank floppy disk into drive and run executable
- After the floppy has written fully, restart the machine, go into the BIOS and load defaults, save and exit
- Now set the USB Floppy as the primary boot device, or press escape while the system is booting to select USB Floppy as the bootable device
- After flash remove the floppy, power off PC Completely
- Turn on the PC and load defaults in BIOS
USB Flash Drive Installation - Alternate installation method- Download the correct .bin file below for your motherboard:
132-GT-E768-KR/TR - EVGA X58 FTW3- Visit this thread and follow the installation instructions. (thanks 30h6).
Warning: **Do not restart or interrupt your PC while the flash is ongoing **Do not Flash BIOS on overclocked settings **It is always recommended to power-down after flash and Clear CMOS

Enables Speedstep and Turbo by default on BIOS reset Is that the only change? Does that even deserve a new BIOS? When is this "filing" going to stop and some real bugs fixed?

I have to admit, I am scratching my head a little on this one. I was always trained that a BIOS update was only done when you needed it. The only reason that you would get this BIOS, that I can see, is if you had a REALLY old BIOS from getting a new board and needed a BIOS update. Example: When I first got my board I needed a BIOS update so I got the 74 although I didn't need that particular version's updates.

how do i tell what version i have? when i look in everest it says "Award pheonix bios v6.00 PG"? only issue i am having is a strange vcore issue at over 1.188 and under 1.200 it seems to not like any of those ¿3? settings, it way over volts when set to them (vdroop off). not an issue in the long run when i do speed runs it takes more than 1.19 volts to get over 4.0GHz anyways. temperatures stay below 75c per core @1.200V so again i dont mind, just would like to know if i need to fix it or i should just leave it.

NOT SO USELESS!!! I'm AMAZED. It somehow fixed the problem with windows only seeing 8 of my 12GB of RAM!!! However, it now turns on Turbo Mode REGARDLESS of whether or not I disable it... as soon as I change it to disabled, esc out and go back in, right back to enabled.

I "def" go to forums to search for solutions to problems I don't have, blast the mfr for developing **** bios rev's, then come back to eat crow so I look like an **** and the mfr looks like they MIGHT have their **** together... That bios revision does not effect you ram.......it effects turbo which can mess with your ram. Your ram issue could of 90% been solved with changing a few settings with the old bios...i am only complaining about this revision cause it really does not do anything. For overclocking which EVGA is known for having turbo mode constantly on would just be annoying. Most of the overclocking threads I see have both turbo and speed step disabled. So this only basically means its more buttons for me to press if and when i need to clear my cmos again. I feel evga should not make a revision that is pointless and unnecessary. OH and btw the lies thing was originally a joke but since u got so defensive i decided i would too.

Whenever I try to update my EVGA x58 FTW3 to the new BIOS 75 release, it says "Cannot Load DOS! Any key to retry" I have burned two different CDs with the ISO and it still doesn't work...Please Help! I am hoping this update will fix my issue with Windows only reading 3.99GB usable RAM out of my 12GB whenever I overclock it. At default BIOS settings, Windows reads all 12GB...weird! A couple of people said this BIOS update helped solve that issue...

Tested this BIOS and found that it does not let you disable turbo at all. You can change turbo to disabled, but as soon as you leave the cpu feature screen and go back in it is back to enabled. Also, the disabled command does not stick when saving directly from the cpu feature screen. Went back to 74 with my E768.

communicate on October 29, asked the specification and dump the chip, but I refused because the warranty expired, even though I wrote in the first appeal, understand that the case is not a guarantee, but they learned only last Friday. All this sounds like some kind of circus, to specify what kind of chip from this:
