Don't bother purchasing anything with a EVGA rebate, they just scam you with ridiculous denials. Included the Amazon invoice, and they deny it stating they need an invoice. The invoice is even right in their upload documentation.

They then conveniently ask you to jump through silly hoops to resubmit, through snail mail. Resubmit what is already submitted eh? I know rebates are typically not worth it as they are designed for people not to bother; with ridiculous wait times and effort, but this was too funny not to post.

Really? They've only denied my rebate once and when I fought it, They approved it.

I just got approved for another rebate without a problem during Christmas.. Not sure how this is a scam?

This is why I love EVGA. People like Matt come and save the day. I had Matt help me with an issue before. Well at least EVGA customer support actually responds to you through emails/forum unlike other manufactures.(looking at you ASUS, and MSI)

    Dear callsignvega,

I am very sorry that you are upset that there was a problem with processing your rebate submission. I can confirm that I have reviewed the documents that you sent in to our rebate center and unfortunately the invoice or packing slip that the rebate company was looking for is missing and instead a order status page was included. I am very sorry for any confusion as the order status page is missing the place of purchase and is not formatted in a way that the rebate company can confirm. Please in the future if you click the link that is shown on that page for "Need to print a invoice?" as this would be the document that the rebate company is looking for to approve the rebate request. Alternatively you may also use the packing slip that should have come in the box with the product.

In order to try and work with you further, I have called the place of purchase and personally verified your purchase and then requested that the rebate is approved through our rebate company. Please allow 1-2 business days for your rebate to be approved and continue processing.

If anyone else should need help with their rebate then please email rebates@evga.com as we are here to assist with the rebate process if support is needed.

Thanks for the assistance, but a few things are in error.

On my Amazon account, for that purchase when I click invoice, what was sent to you is exactly what shows up on Amazon. Missing the place of purchase? Amazon.com is listed on the header and footer of the invoice. The item line even says "sold by Amazon.com". I don't know how it could possibly get any clearer than that.

This was an obvious attempt to try and shirk the rebate, which is very common with rebate companies. I couldn't care less about the small rebate, it was the principle.

    For the uneducated:

    in·voice

    ˈinˌvois/
    noun

    • 1.
a list of goods sent or services provided, with a statement of the sum due for these; a bill.

Exactly what was provided. Pro-tip: An Amazon "invoice" doesn't state that it is an invoice. It only states "This is not a VAT invoice." So what ever arbitrary "format" rule that a rebate company uses, is completely irrelevant.

If your order is bought direct from Amazon then you can print an invoice. If it's "fulfilled by Amazon" on behalf of another supplier or bought via the market place then you don't get an invoice from Amazon, this has to be obtained via the seller. What you have provided would seem to be the order summary available on Amazon, not an invoice.
