Hello

Recently I asked NVidia's support if I could use a RTX 3050 on Windows 7, and they told me that no, I could not, because their last driver supporting Windows 7, which is 472.12, is too old and it would not recognize this card.

So I was looking for an older card, probably a 2060. But in the specs of the EVGA GeForce RTX 3050 XC BLACK GAMING (), in the list of Operating System Support I see Windows 7.

Before I buy, can anyone please confirm that this is not an error, EVGA RTX 3050 really does work on Windows 7 ?
( for graphics softwares and Machine Learning, not for gaming )

I do not believe you can.  In October 2021 Nvidia dropped support for Win 7, 8, and 8.1 and the 3050 was released recently so that is why the older drivers will not recognize it.

I suspect that the W7 in the specs section is a mistake.

The easiest solution is an upgrade to Windows 10 or Windows 11.

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X,  Corsair Mp700 Pro M.2, 64GB Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5  X670E Steel Legend, MSI RTX 4090 Associate Code: H5U80QBH6BH0AXF. I am NOT an employee of EVGA
