Received mine today and want to thank EVGA for this product. I got it for $9.99 shipping a few months after my 1070 FTW. On a personal note, I really like EVGA as a company, both in products and in their unmatched support. Forever a loyal customer. As for the Powerlink: Great idea for those that aim for a case with certain neat wire aesthetics, or a slim width case where space is an issue. Got the Powelink today and as always, exceptional EVGA packaging. The link itself seems rather cheap, with parts that feel a bit flimsy. The two power plugs that go into the video card are held in place by four incredibly tiny black Allen wrench screws. Included in the packaging are two extra screws and a tiny Allen wrench. The screws hold the power adapter 8+8 (or 8+6) dual plugs into the L shaped powerlink. This is a SUPER pain in the ass to setup and they have to be slid into the proper alignment then screwed tight. The miniature screw can come all the way out and get lost real fast in your case (experienced it). The big issue I had was getting the Powerlink off. I thought it would snap off easy, but surprisingly you have to undo ALL four screws, unattach the power plugs, and pinch them to get them off. Part two of super pain in the ass. I am someone who tinkers and often unplugs parts in my computer and in the end this trouble just seemed to much to deal with more than once. I ended up not using the Powerlink and went back to using the cards power plugs. For the $9.99 I paid (shipping), I am ok with that. I am not sure what the price of this product is, or will be, but anything more than $10 (shipping included) is just not worth it in my opinion.

See Post #4 Below from EVGA_JacobFUse a Small Screw Driver to Open the Clips to Remove the Power Link. But to be true they should not be installed and removed only to play with them.

I like my powerlink which i got earlier this week. Makes it a lot easier to route cables. I don't see a reason to remove it once it is on unless you need to clean the heatsink but even then it isn't an issue.

Do you mean removing it off the card? If so just need to squeeze the two rubber parts to remove.

Will the powerlink fit the GTX 970?, doesn't look like the segment that connects to the card is long enough to reach.

$29.99 + $9.99 for shipping seems like an excessive amount for something tomjulio describes as cheap and flimsy. Think I'll pass for now.

I was going to order 2 this morning but they limit it to one per house hold. PASS. and it would be $80 for 2.

It wasn't all that hard for me. I just loosened both sides, slid them over to fit my connectors, tightened in place once inserted. I didn't even pull the card out of the system. Just inserted the Allen wrench in from the bottom by feel.
The 970 SC I have would not work, the connectors are too far back. I wish they'd release a special extended version for these cards. As it is, I had to string the 970s power cables behind the powerlink to keep them out of the way.

WOW! I like what you say or Hearsay is a better way of putting it. For FTW Card with the Heat Sing Fins in the Vertical position they are Supper Great. They are Simple and Light Weight, it is not like we need a One Pound Power Connector.

evga are being idiots and using UPS shipping. ups ground costs $12.01 and USPS costs $6.45(flat rate envelope) or $6.80(small flat rate box). I'd have rather they shipped parcel post for $3.02 then use UPS shipping.

They are using USPS $14.99 for Two in Bubble Envelopes tapped together. Maybe they will refund half back to my account. My Local USPS said shipping with $60 insurance would be $7.48. But then you have to add the cost of packing and preparing the shipments.

But then you have to add the cost of packing and preparing the shipments. UPS picks up the order and transports it to your local post office which dose the delivery part. it's supposedly one of their cheaper business delivery options. if you look at the bottom of the envelope label in very small print you should see a UPS logo. We are able to provide our customers postal services through our utilization of the United States Postal Service® (USPS®) work share program. With our operational efficiencies, we are able to obtain better postal rates for customers, while providing transit times that are comparable to First-Class Mail®. - when your selling items in large volume handling dosn't really cost more then $1 walmart could pay all it's workers $20 an hour by rasing prices on everything by like 10cents. also I've never understood how shipping products from china to any US state is somehow cheaper then shipping from state to state. a powerlink is less complex and weighs about the same as a mouse yet those can be found for less than $10 on amazon.

Agreed. Its 2 gpu power plugs in a plastic mold.... I could make that and have natemandoo or gonecruising cut me out a fancy mold even and make the same thing for cheaper, lol. Ive had a alt idea that I want to implement for gpus for the wiring but Im not sure how I want to execute it yet. It would be pretty cool in the end though.

It actually is supposed to have some filtering capacitors inside, so more than just "2 gpu power plugs in a plastic mold".
