Introspector Hey RJ_ds3,
so they offer international shipping...
Excellent, thanks!. Got 2 ordered myself, but I'll only need one as I dont use the headphone out, I use line out instead. Or is it better to swap both out so they match? I dont know how important that would be.

I may try this op amp your talking about and change both. I forget if you change only headphone it wont affect sound of line out, but if you change line out only it affects sound of headphone also, or the other way around.

I swapped both Line-Out and Headphone and the improvement in sound was clearly noticeable on both.

As far as I know Line-Out and Headphone-Out Circuits are independent from each other so they won't affect each other.

I missed this earlier, so good thing I got 2 of these. As far as I know, the L/R audio signal path is "AK4493EQ" -->> "LME49724 (LPF)" -->> "Line Out Socket(AD8056)" -->> "DS1882" -->> "Headphone Out Socket (OP275)" -->> "LME49600" -->> "Headphone 6.3mm Output" Therefore, both sockets should be replaced. And holy smokes its only 3 days from France for delivery. I was expecting 5-7 business days. Nice!

nimaa I am using NJR MUSES3 for HEADPHONE and Sparkoslabs Dual Discrete Op Amp SS3602 for Speakers ( WARNING : DON'T CONNECT THIS OP-AMP TO HEADPHONE! ) Sparkos fits perfectly inside the case, No cutting needed however it requires a bit higher voltage to operate but still works great with NU Audio I believe this is the best setup!
What do you feel the improvements are to this setup over the stock op-amps?
as you know every Op Amp has the characteristics of its own and also it depends on your speaker setup, replacing op amps is a pointless idea in my opinion if someone plans to use the regular speaker/headphone
these two that I mentioned make the sound more harmonic, MUSES has slight difference but Sparkos changes are highly noticeable! also be careful about NJR MUSES, there are many replica / knock off ones out that may damage your board
How much did it cost you to do all this with the op amps ?
I have replaced them about a year ago .. I believe both together costed me about $50
Your using the 3602 for the line out ? Andrew at sparkos told me to use the 3602 for the headphone, he said the voltage on the line out is wrong for the 3602, why are you saying dont use the 3602 for headphone ?
Any resolution to this? I have a pair of 3602s from another setup that I was thinking of rolling into the build. But it sounds like I'd only be able to use one of the two in one output (not clear which) U564 headphone out is +14.5V, -14.5V symmetrical, two stage regulated - SparkOs SS3602 is +/- 18 Vcc Max, so seems like it'd be OK. But didn't see a minimum on the SS3602, but wasn't sure if that mattered. U613 Speaker out is +5V, -5V, so I'd assume the SparkOs SS3602 would work there too.

For some reason I cant post links, its the link you posted earlier when I asked you which ones you got. I just want to make sure we have the same OP AMPs before I install them, I dont want to blow anything up IntrospectorHey RJ_ds3, I had ordered the OPA1612 here: Best regards

Just as an update, I reached out to Sparkos about installing the SS3602 in both the U564 and U613 sockets. Received this reply: "So the one that runs from +/-14.5 is pretty slam dunk.
The one that runs on +/-5 maybe wont perform so well due to very low supply voltages. You can still try it out, and see how it goes. It wont hurt anything but it maybe just a bit too low of a supply voltage." So tried the SS3602 in both sockets and both are working great. So no issues from what I can tell using the SS3602 in both sockets. FYI I did need extenders on both sockets to clear the nearby capacitors, so I need to run the card without the shroud. (unless someone has a spare I can Dremel up!)

I have the bug. Ugh I'm sure some of you are familiar with the burston op amp V5i (Dual OPA DIP8)? Will it work with the Nu Audio? Not the pro. The model i'm looking at is on the audiophonics website and If it works i'll order tomorrow.

Here is my review on the Burson Audio V5I installed in my Evga Nu Sound Card.
The installation was straight forward and simple, the V5i just fit right into the headphone op amp area and the line out area. First thing i did was listen thru my Emotiva basx A100 and thru my Triange Borea Bro 2 speakers. I played several tracks from Blondie to the Rolling Stones and my first impressions were like wow this sounds really good, so much better than the stock op amps. So i got down to some serious listning session and im so impressed how much of a difference the Burson V5i can make. They opended up the music, the soundstage got bigger. There is a bit of magic with these Burson V5I op amps, im just so enjoying what they have done to the Evga Nu sound card and the music. Next i put in the Hd 560s headphones and was even more blown away cause i can hear much more detail, theres a little warmth to the music, its refined, very detailed.
I have to say this is end game for the Evga Nu sound card in my opiinon. The Burson V5I brings rich defined bass, bigger soundstage, smooth and warm vocals, and a sparkle to the top end. I would say the best thing about them if i had to pick one things would be clarity and detail and warm to the music, i heard this thru my amp and speakers but even more thru my Hd 560s headphones. Is there anything i dont like about them honestly i would say no, its like they are a match made in heaven for this Evga sound card.
Highly Highly recommended, i have done op amp rolling with this sound card and oft

I'm using it in a dual configuration line out and headphone or both taken with the Burson v5i.
Problem with the sparkos labs they're just way too big you cannot put your shield back on the side of your sound card.

Hmm, I happened to get a couple SS3602 to play with over the upcoming holiday weekend. I tested them for fitting in both an original NU Audio and NU Audio Pro today, and I was able to close the shield on both without effort. With that said, I'll probably put some electrical tape or kapton tape on the top of the op-amps given how close a fit they are.

Ok Ed, because i had the dual op amp sparkos 602 and its not even close to fitting the shield on the Nu sound card, so you have single or dual op amps ? cause i promise you dual 602 isnt even close to fitting with shield. Anyway i think the burson V5I sound better than the sparkos 602.

I used the dual-SS3602, as seen in the photos above, not a dual-version of SS2590 (which I'm not going to even try without some extenders). After testing the op-amps on the cards in the photos above, I took the op-amps home and was able to install them in my own Pro card. With mine, the LED cable kept catching when trying to push the shroud back down; once that got squared away, there were no issues putting the shroud back down. I wonder if maybe the op-amps weren't full seated in the sockets for you, maybe catching on a capacitor? I have some Burson V5i's on the way, so I plan on testing those at some point as well. I'm pretty impressed with the SS3602 improvement over the stock op-amps, so if the V5i's seem to be better in your opinion, then I look forward to hearing the difference.

Let us know how it goes with the V5is, Lee. I'm thinking of updating my card with them as well.

Very interesting. I had the V5i for quite a while now and really enjoying it compared to the stock. The first time I put it in the line-out socket, it was muffled all the sound have veil in them. And then I put it on the headphone out for over a month then swapped it back again to the Line-Out. It pretty much burned in and the sound isn't muffled now. I love all the frequency it produces through my speakers now and it is, even more, better than Muses02 that I also have. My current config for the Line-Out is the V5i and the headphone out is the Muses02. I'm also excited what are your thoughts about the Sparkos vs the V5i.

Thank you for the review of the Burson V5i, ordering as I type and wanted to check in to see if anyone had sound impressions. Good to see a small group has survived here. The Sparkos is a clearance issue but LeeM has confirmed it's fine.
Not sure how this card treats low impedance headphones (25 ohms). I will find out soon enough since the specs don't show much at different impedances.

Like others here I'm also interested in your impressions on the Sparkos vs Burson V5i (headphone output). Going V5i for now as I can't install the Sparkos pro version without it head butting the GPU's backplate, unfortunate.
Keep us updated on your findings. Will give my feedback once I've spent enough time with it.

Good afternoon. Question about the top segment, such as Burson, Muses, Sparkos and so on. Is it worth overpaying, is the difference noticeable great or not worth it? At the moment I'm waiting for OPA1612 and AD827, will there be a huge difference in sound?

I have a DT 990 Pro 250 and a HiFiMAN HE-400i 2020. I don't really like the sound of the DT 990 Pro 250. The HiFiMAN HE-400i sounds better, probably because they can absorb more power.
