Califmike33 I have changed a few op amps around and noticed a little difference, but im finding its not worth the price of the op amps themselfs. The v6 burson did give me some changes in a positive way. Starting to think the stock op amps are the way to go and save your money from chasing op amps for minute sound changes. Im also finding this card doesnt drive 300 ohm cans all that well which leaves me with a just a dac.
I tried changing the OP AMP to muses8920. It's a serious downgrade, the immersive feeling I had with the stock is gone. The sound is more lively on the AD8056, it's quite good already.

Very interesting! Thanks so much for sharing the test results with us! Purely from the measurement results, the OPA1612 is the winner. I will get it and test its sound characteristics. I will share my impressions here if you like. By the way: can I use the OPA1612 for Line-out and Headphone out or just for Line-out? Kind regards

Which headphones do you have, and what volume % are you using for Windows and the HP sliders?

I have the sennheiser hd 650 Drop 6xx. Im 100% volume on windows and Evga, 90% on the ohm slider. They play ok, it gets loud, but it seems like its not driving them, they need more power. Im starting to think the stock op amps are best, Audio Note matched them up pretty good. I dont want to go down the rabbit hole to change out op amps and get minute changes, maybe leave it like it is. Going to buy a Dac and Amp and see how it compares to this Evga card. Of course in the same ball park price wise. I did use the line out to my amp and thru speakers, now that sounded really good. Is there a method of setting up headphones with the sliders ? i had to turn up the Ohm slider 90% to get them Drop 6xx loud enough ? I have another question will the Evga Nu sound Pro sound bettter or have more headphone power than the Nu sound non pro ?

Well i dont see listed under both line out and headphone, so maybe only line out, but not sure. Im finding switching these ops out makes minute differences hardly worth the trouble. Im sticking with stock card. Also want to know if the Nu sound pro is better ? does it sound better, more headphone power ?

Me too, im wondering other than shielding on both sides of the card , what does the pro offer better. I dont care about 7.1 sound, i want best 2.0. But that card is getting into price wise buying a good external dac and amp price.

I tried several OP ICs with Nu Audio Pro 2Ch-Natural Tone setting Line output socket 1.LME49720HA: The sound is very slender, the details are well-defined, and the instrument has a high degree of separation, The overall performance is very monitoring.
2.NJR-Muses02: The sound is very beautiful, Dynamic performance is good, Suitable for listening to music for a long time.
Headphone output socket 1.NJR-Muses01: The sound is neutral, The details are well separated. 2.NJR-Muses02: The sound performance is very majestic, Very warm and thick. In the end I chose to use Line output: NJR-Muses02. Headphone output: NJR-Muses01. PS: OP ICs are all purchased at Mouser Electronics inc. (There are too many counterfeit products on the market, I only believe in DigiKey, Mouser sales)

I compared datasheets and decided to get two OPA1612, one for Line-Out and one for Headphone-Out. I swapped my former OPs (OPA551 Line-out, LME49720 Headphone). Both, Line-Out and Headphone, are now sounding sooo much better, with much better resolution and definition in all frequency areas but especially when it comes to bass which now is much more precise, fast and controlled and no longer somehow bloated or wooly in comparison. So far (for about two days now) no disadvantages in sound, but a huge improvement! Highly recommended!

Cannot be used directly. Muses03 is "Single" (Mono) Operational Amplifier , You may need an Two MUSES03 match adapter board to use it. I have checked the position of the capacitor around the OP socket on the EVGA NU AUDIO PRO card, which may block the installation of the adapter board.

Thank you for your answer. I have the evga nu audio card. What i am understanding is that i should look into the dual op amps ? What about this one below? https://www.bursonaudio.c...rmance%20capabilities.

According to the stock one? Edit: does that D indicate that it is the Dual Omp amp? (Not the single one?

And can i only change only the headphone amp or should i change line out as well? Does line out amp ad8056 affect the headphone amp performance? This is why i asked about replacing them together.

As far as I know, the L/R audio signal path is "AK4493EQ" -->> "LME49724 (LPF)" -->> "Line Out Socket(AD8056)" -->> "DS1882" -->> "Headphone Out Socket (OP275)" -->> "LME49600" -->> "Headphone 6.3mm Output" Therefore, both sockets should be replaced.

Its weird how some people hear a big change and others hear nothing from changing op amps. I have tried the V6 vivid and i heard a difference for sure, but there to tall and makes it tough to put in case. Im going to try the V5i from burson, there much smaller. Has anybody tried the OPA627 ? i dont see it on the list, but i heard its a great op amp, i have the nu sound card. Please any feedback if the OPA 627 will work ?

I also bought the Burson v5i too. I think I already reached the required time for it to burn in. The Burson 5vi reveals some details I didn't hear from the stock OP-Amp before, but the "live" feeling or feeling inside on what you are watching is almost gone. I rate the Burson 2nd from the Stock Op-AMP from being "In the scene" feeling. I'm using Line-Out.

I'm looking up the OPA1612 OP AMP and am coming up with several different models. From what people are saying about these I'm going to try them myself but am not exactly sure what to get and from where. I'm hoping to get the same results as you with a nu audio+atom amp+Senn HD650 combination. Thanks!
