    Interesting, would be curious to see how it goes. FWIW, I have my 3080Ti hybrid mining but it sits around 85C memory temps compared to the 110 they are reporting. I am running it at -490 on the memory though.

    Someone else posted about these in another thread about a week ago. They said they work well. I don't remember which thread.

    I've seen at least one more report (might have been on reddit) showing it works well.  I've been skeptical since it potentially could mess with the core mount pressure, but it appears to work.  If I hadn't just remounted mine with better pads, I'd be tempted to try it.  From that other thread though where I compared results with the poster there, it appeared to just be approximately equal to my remount with Gelid Ultimates.  Although I've done other tweaking, pads under the backplate, heatsinks and a fan.  So that might be skewing the result some in my favor.

    On my 3080 FTW3 Ultra with hybrid cooler I bought from EVGA Store, these plates lowered the VRAM temps from mid-90C range to low 70C range while doing VRAM intensive work.

    There’s a lot more copper, which is better than thermal pad, which is a lot better than air, for heat transfer.

    I would rather just go back to air cooling tbh.

    While this looks nice, the price doesn't.  It's more than half the cost of a HYBRID unit just for the 3rd party upgraded plate.

    Hope to see EVGA include such a thing in the future but hope the dimensions are within spec so it doesn't touch something it shouldn't as the GPU slightly sags overtime.

    While it would have costed a few extra nickels for EVGA to make a good product, is probably not as cheap as you think to make those pieces for a small order.

    Copper is expensive. The hybrid kit is a steal for the price and what you get. It's not perfect but it works well for gaming. You can't buy just a good waterblock for anywhere near that cheap.
