Independant from the situation, you have to give EVGA, - Jacob, credit for what they are doin'. No other brand will provide support for sell-specifics of the 1070/80. From my point of view, I can't understand the infantile behaviour of some customers, from an emotional... that's a different story.
For me, it's not that I can play (games) anymore with my rig - and I got no powerhouse -, since Pascal was released. Patience is the key, it all will come back to normal in a few weeks and everybody can buy the card he wants. It's not that someone promised that you can have a card when you want it... That's it.

People are using bots and such. The bot will refresh every 3-5 seconds, and if it's in stock it gets auto-added to cart. From there once the maximum quantity is in cart, checkout and gtg. That's how the scalpers stay stocked up.

The sc went out of stock for a minute but is back in stock now and has been for a few minutes.

I made a bash script to check stock on a bunch of different sites because Distill uses way too much CPU while I'm gaming, but I was able to get an order in after a few tries without a bot. Newegg's ordering system can be quite frustrating though.

totally agreed with you but you have to be agreed with me that this situation its not normal and the lack of specific info on why the hell is so complicated got your hands on a nvidia chip is not the way of handle things..

Hey Jacob, First off, I would like to thank you for the work you are putting into communicating with the community, even if it is currently mostly disappointing/angry at you for not being able to deliver answers. Please don't take this wrong, but I am sadly in the same camp as most people here, especially in the EU it seems. Could you maybe provide us with a list of updates you may provide information about? Anything would do, for me of course EU information would be appreciated the most, but I am fairly certain every single part of the world is waiting on your glorious cards. EVGA_JacobF
First priority is EVGA.com preorders.
I'd also like to know a little bit about the current evga.com pre-orders are our most important concern, as it currently looks like there will not be any cards for the rest of the world that have not pre-ordered cards through your website, but rather ordered at their own local retailers, as you seem to restock your own website as well? Wouldn't this mean that you are giving out cards to people that have not had orders made way back when it was first announced, but rather send them out to the people that are getting lucky by ordering them from your website?  I personally would love to know if this is actually the case or if you are listening to your parents and actually spreading the wealth equally. EVGA_JacobF

(Ps: I've been waiting since my birthday for a great 1080 to come out and currently have 2 1080FTW pre-ordered in the Netherlands(eu). I'm still sitting on my old AMD 7670 OEM and it is really no longer able to hold on (even at 720p ))

it was up again and down.. i timed it .. almost 14 seconds.. newegg is palying with us, i mean how many VGAs can it be sell in 14 seconds.. 20?? 30?.. well the answer is no, newegg i putting 5 or 6 cards at once so the question remains.. why?

Agreed about Newegg's ordering. I actually decided to grab something that was available today, and I added 3 months of Premier too bc I have other things to order later. I checked back on the order later and the Premier had successfully been paid but the card was "declined". I called the bank and they said they never saw the charge. After a frustrating and useless call to Newegg I canceled. I later found out that the card was charged to an old, no longer valid card I had on file.. No idea how the Premier went to one card and the video card to a different one.

best buy is having a solid almost 5 hours of stock since they came up early today.. all FE wich are not on my sigh, i would love a classy or an hybrid but at this rate i dunno

They are likely selling the cards from canceled orders, like mine. There was another mentioned on nowinstock.net.. I think people grab these b/c they are available, then take time to consider if it's really the card they want.. etc.

I know everyone wants their new cards and some of us that preordered thru Amazon and B&H ect are still waiting too. I ordered an FTW from Amazon on may 31 and they still say we need more time to (insert generic customer support reply). I'm getting tired of waiting and have been eyeing the MSI and Asus cards i see go on sale from time to time. I made 2 mistakes this release one was Selling my SLI 970 FTW cards two was preordering from Amazon. As it stands now it will be atleast a month before i see a new card from when i ordered which honestly i could deal with fine but this heavy lack of info concerning the release of these new cards and the rude way Amazon treats people who ask about preorders just has me not really caring anymore. this is probably the last week I am going to wait then i'll just buy whatever i can find (founder edition aside) Might even buy one of the discounted 980 ti cards i see all the time. IMO this has been one of the very worst retail launches I have ever seen from any major company.

I talked to an EVGA rep via phone and they said that it would be at least 2 weeks before they knew when the official release date of the FTW 1080. woah, your saying if I pre ordered it might be another 3 weeks before I get my hands on the card? I havent even preordered, I thought they were posting some FTW editions this week to sell? I am screwed arent I :(

Amazon still has to fill the FTW preorder hole. Other vendors should list cards for sale in the meantime.

so when realistically will I be able to place my 1080 FTW order if I stay on top of it? Sometime this week Jacob said I thought, so then after I order hopefully I am in the right place at the right time and stars align and I place the order. Then its another 3+ weeks before it arrives?

Nobody knows the answer to that. Fact is if you're somewhat flexible in terms of which card you buy, and you watch this space and places like Nowinstock.net.. you can get cards. I could have bought a half-dozen today if I wasn't locked into 1 particular model.
