Hi all. One of my friend have buy two days ago an GTX 580 model 015-P3-1580 and an Waterblock EK. The probleme is when he have unboxed the heatsink, The GPU in the card is not equiped with an IHS, so it's not possible mount the waterblock. Why the ref. number is the same with this kind of modification ? picture of the card Thx

how i can check if have my GTX570 this heatspreader or not?
Take the card apart, if it looks like a cpu mounted to the bord them it has one, it you can see green square around a chip in the center then it does not have one. Here's a few pics on a card that does have one. http://www.legitreviews.com/images/reviews/1461/gtx580_front_card.jpg http://www.legitreviews.com/images/reviews/1461/gtx580_gf110.jpg The picture in the orignail does not seem to have one but i would feel more comfortable saying it really doesn't if the thermal paste was removed. Almost all cards now have them, i'm surprized the op's didn't have one
