EVGA FTW 3090 FTW3 Ultra 3rd fan noise normal?

Was troubleshooting a FTW3 3090 and noticed that the 3rd fan makes this click sound whenever it goes from 0% fan speed to anything above 12%, after that it sounds fine. The other fans do not do this. Only noticed it when there was light load on the card causing the fan to spin up and down.
 
Is this normal? I did read about other clicking sounds around the 3rd fan but nothing like this. Doesn't seem like it's grinding against something as it's fine after the initial spin up.

    It's "normal" (messed up design). Something with the 3rd fan iCX system is messed up. The Aux fan header connected to the same system is also messed up.

    So I guess sending it in for a RMA or replacing the fan won't fix it?

    did they ever release a later revision to resolve it?

    I haven't opened the unit yet to see the cable runs since I need a 1.5mm allen but does anyone know the color pin connector of the 3rd fan? I'm assuming the 3rd fan is the blue connector to the right?
     
    Trying to see if I can source a known working fan to get rid of the noise.

    Yeah, the 3rd fan is the blue header.
    Problem is that there is a problem with the PWM signal which causes the weird harmonic sound, so it's a lottery whether you find a fan which doesn't play up with the weird signal.

    I did a little experience, I switched the 3rd fan from my 3090 FTW3 to a 3070ti FTW3 as they use the same fan model. The same symptoms and sound transferred over to the 3070ti while the 3090 is fine. Interesting how they have different fan brands so that might be part of it?
