I am looking to pick up either an EVGA nForce 750 SLI or nForce 750 SLI FTW from EVGA's B-stock because I have a folding coupon and some folding bucks.

I was wondering if anyone has had experience with the quality of their B-Stock products. The important thing is that the motherboard can last a long time. I already have extra accessories lying around.

System Specs:

Chassis: Antec 1200
Mobo: EVGA x58 FTW3
CPU: i7 950 @ 3.9GHZ
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master V8
GPU: EVGA GTX470 @ 760/1520/1720
Folding GPU: EVGA 9800GT @ 700/1744/950
RAM: 3x2GB Patriot Sector 7
PSU: Corsair 750TX

    Its a toss up.

Ive had good results with B-stock items, and there is a short warranty.

Make sure to use any b-stock items you purchase immediately, that way if there is an issue you'll be under warranty.

I just bought a 750i SLI from Bstock a few weeks ago to build a system with spare parts I have but not got it running yet, I will see what happens when I have everything I need (still waiting on a case)

It's still under warranty, I will have it running in time to test it. Only paid $26 for the board so it was worth the gamble.

I was considering getting the 750i mobo from b-stock but i've heard so many bad things about those boards that I think i'd rather wait until I just build a new rig. It's a shame there arent other socket 775 boards that support SLI. Seems like everything else supports crossfire only.

the NF200 chipset which these board have I did hear have problems, but hopefully Nvidia has a fix out for them by now.....

Are you kidding me that is a rip off $149.99, I just don't get some of these prices they come up with for B Stock. Pay the extra $20 for a full warranty. The warranty would be well worth the extra $20, and you know you are getting a brand new unopened card.

That card should be more like $99 if it only comes with a 90 day warranty.

If there is a definite fix for the problems, I have not heard about it. For me, the disadvantages outweigh the advantages of upgrading. I have a very basic G33 mobo with only 1 PCIe slot and no overclocking, but it has been rock solid since day 1. I would love to get a board with SLI so I can add a second GTX 460 for folding.

Bstock items sometimes have a 25 - 30% reduction in price from time to time, just wait for them to go on sale before ya get something. My 750i board is originally $50, but evga dropped it to $30, and I used a $3 folding discount code on top of that is how I got mine for $26.99

Sorry, i'm not trying to scare anyone away from these boards. Its just that I would personally like to wait and upgrade to a board that is ultra reliable or at least has a 2-3 year warranty than buy a board with a 90 day warranty and face a potential problem, i'm paranoid like that.

There arent any regularly documented issues with these boards, I just see a lot of issues with booting (various LED codes) and problems with the CPU socket that I believe to be more of an issue with BIOS than the actual board itself. Just google search and you'll see what I mean.

I wouldn't use them for a everyday main system as they do have some issues like said above ^, the only reason I bought mine is because I'm building a system out of spare parts for folding@home, and I figured for $26 I took a gamble on it.

I ran a 750i FTW with an E8500 OC'd to 4.3ghz 24/7 with SLI GTX260's and nightly folding for nearly 2 years.  Never a single issue.  I have also been on these boards for over 4 years now, and I can tell you there is no reason to be concerned about getting that board.  When you consider that EVGA sold that board across all of North America, parts of South America and Europe, they probably sold hundreds of thousands if not millions, and even if 100 people complain about a problem, that is only a fraction of a percent.

    No reason to be paranoid.

I've purchased 2 items so far from B-stock:
    • 630i/7150 - Purchased 1 year ago still running fine.  Didn't come with I/O shield but EVGA took care of that.
    • 750i/SLI - Purchased within a month and working fine, no trouble @ all.  I/O sheild included. This deal was too good to pass for $24 US shipping included.
Like others have said if you do purchase B-stock make you fire it up right away.  In most cases it will fail within the limited warrenty period.
    Cheers & good luck!

90 days isnt to bad. usually you find out within a few days. however i would be hesitant on vga cards. im almost at 2 years on my 9600gt and its starting to show a few neon green pixals ( pixalation/ artifacts) when running in 3d mode.

i have the slowest machine here

Ok, I just went ahead and purchased the nForce 750i SLI FTW card with my Folding B-Stock coupon code and some Folding bucks.

Hope you guys are right about the reliability. My P5Q has given me a lot of minor problems from day one, including not being able to overclock past 3.8 GHZ.

I already have extra accessories lying around.

my 780i has been working pretty good for 3 months that i used it. now that i got my x58 i put it back on the box and im selling it.
u can have it for $60 shipped and it comes with the 60mm xcustom fan i put on it.
PM if interested or go to the sale forum and check it out.

you can google search any piece of hardware and the majority of things you're going to find will be complaints and issues that people are having with it... most people dont hop on forums to say HEY MY 750i works AWESOME!  I mean some of us do... but you see what I'm saying. Same with newegg reviews.
