Hello EVGA Community,
First of all thanks to the EVGA team for sending a replacement unit right away. Took just a few business days for a replacement card to arrive. Excellent hotline service as well.
1+++ Here to my questions:
The card I got is a rev. 1.0 card and my faulty one is a rev. 1.1 card, is there any major differences I should be worried about?
I am asking because I noticed a few differences and of course have a few things that I wonder if I need to send it back as well:
1. coil whine at idle, very noticeable when close to case window / my faulty card didn‘t have that, but of course coil whine when pushing high fps
2. card arrived with a bent metal part(?), the black part which can be seen on the photo here:
3. card arrived with a bent logo/text plate as seen on the photo here:
4. card seems to have slightly higher average temps in idle and with boost lock enabled or disabled / sometimes hit 78 degrees on MEM2 with boost lock enabled but no load / I'll keep an eye on the temps to see if that is really the case*
5. is it a refurbished card or new? I am asking because it doesn't have the sticker here seen on the photo:
6. rev. on the PCB / left faulty - right rma card
*system is exactly same configuration as was when my faulty card died, same ambient temps, same room, same Windows version, clean driver install
